-The survivors bandage Hudson's arm and the unconscious Gorman's head, before putting the latter onto a stretcher, and Hicks shortly thereafter contacts Ferro at the base camp, ordering her and Spunkmeyer to get pilot the dropship to the power station entrance to get them out of there before they evacuate the moon altogether-

-Ferro starts powering the ship back up and orders her co-pilot Spunkmeyer to get aboard the dropship as well, but before he reaches the cockpit, he notices some odd slime residue on the floor of the dropship's entrance. He tries to tell Ferro to hang on because of this oddity, but Ferro firmly believes they don't have the time to investigate it and just tells him to hurry up get onboard, an order he follows as runs to the cockpit, disregarding the residue-

-Ferro starts flying the dropship and steering it towards the site of the power station, with Ripley and the others looking out to it and waving to make they can see them, but Spunkmeyer fails to appear for a good minute. When the door to the cockpit does open, an annoyed Ferro, clearly expecting it to be Spunkmeyer, asks "Well, where fu-", only to suddenly stop asking her own question mid-sentence when she sees a hissing, snarling alien at the door about to try and attack her with the nested mouth of it's second tongue, having presumably killed or incapacitated Spunkmeyer beforehand-

-Once Ferro processes that she's facing one of the same aliens Ripley described, she immediately reaches for her pistol and tries to draw it to shoot the alien dead, but the alien lunges at her before she can fire it, and less than a second later, the gun and the pilot's seat are shown getting covered in blood spatter. Seconds afterwards, the dropship is shown leaning to the side as it approaches the power station, to the confusion then horror of Ripley and the marines, the former of whom then shouts at everyone to run-

-With Ferro either dead or critically wounded, Spunkmeyer either dead or incapacitated, the dropship has no one left to pilot, and it soon crashes, Hicks leaping in behind Ripley and Newt in order to shield them both from shrapnel or debris kicked up from the crash, while others move Gorman way out of the dropship's path before leaping out of the way themselves, before finally, the dropship crashes into the ground violently, turning and flipping around several times, tearing up in the process and engulfing what's left of it in a fiery explosion, killing the stoaway alien, but also ensuring that both pilots are definitely dead and taking out one of their means of escape in the process-

-After everyone recovers, Hicks rushes to Gorman's aid and pulls some burning debris away from his stretcher, while Hudson picks up a steaming, broken part of the dropship, and, distraught, sarcastically and desperately remarks "Well, that's great! That's just ****ing great, man! Now what the **** are we supposed to do?! We're in some real pretty ****, now, man!", prompting Hicks to pull him by the vest and ask him if he's finished, clearly thinking now's not the time for such rants-

-After everyone recovers, Hicks rushes to Gorman's aid and pulls some burning debris away from his stretcher, while Hudson picks up a steaming, broken part of the dropship, and, distraught, sarcastically and desperately remarks "Well, that's great! We're in some real pretty ****, now, man!", prompting Hicks to pull him by the vest and ask him if he's finished, clearly thinking now's not the time for such rants-
