-And a few seconds later, not one, but several all too familiar aliens are shown beginning to move from around the power station as well...including ones hidden in plain sight amongst the mechanics and debris in the power station-

-Mere seconds later, Dietrich is ambushed by an alien hanging from the ceiling that grabs her by the shoulders, and in her panic of trying to fire her flamethrower at it, flails around as the alien drags her up, accidentally hitting Frost with it in the process, setting him aflame and leading him to stumble stories down a shaft, dropping his gun before falling several stories before dying from the impact, shortly before Dietrich is dragged up-

-If that alone didn't indicate that things were going to get worse, the frantic, dreadful, militaristic ambush music score playing indicated that things were going to go bad for the marines very fast-

-Back at the APC, both Frost's and Crowe's vitals have turned into flat lines. causing Gorman to ask Apone what the hell is going on out there, but he gets no response as more aliens quickly begin to emerge from the walls-

Not wanting to take any chances with the swarm, the majority of the marines go for the ammo that wasn't destroyed and reload their guns before opening fire, despite the risk of blowing the station up-

-Gorman becomes increasingly frustrated and demands to know who's firing since he ordered a hold fire, but he gets no answers as the marines are shown shooting wildly and frantically. The camera doesn't even show where most of the aliens are at first, further giving the impression that the marines are already at a serious disadvantage and fighting a losing battle. It only gets even worse from there, as Gorman tries to tell Apone to lay down supressing fire with the incinerators before falling back, but Apone doesn't hear him at first and just keeps trying to tell the marines to hold their fire. When Gorman does reach him, Apone still doesn't hear his entire order clearly and asks him to copy and repeat what he said, everything after "incinerator". Gorman doesn't even get to finish telling him the full order before another alien is shown crawling on the ceiling and ambushing him by jumping at him, causing Apone's camera to go offline as well while Gorman starts visibly panicking-

Only this is what finally snaps Gorman out of it and gets is attention, as he frustratedly asks her "Ripley, what the hell are you doing?!" He tries to tell her to stop and drive back, even repeatedly yelling at her that it's an order, but Ripley, refusing to risk leaving any more of those marines behind, outright ignores him, and Burke even shoves him out of the way, telling Gorman he's head his chance-

-As Ripley drives the APC towards the power station room, the marines continue to fire their weapons off at the alien swarm, with several being shown getting torn up by gunfire or spattering their acidic blood across the area as the marines continue to fall back, with Drake and Vasquez fighting alongside each other on the frontlines while the others make some distance, Hicks and Hudson providing support fire-

-She did fight in a war, and one that lasted a few centuries, no less...As proud as she is about combat, she likely witnessed more than a few of her friends either get shattered or otherwise Corrupted by whatever it was that mutated the various other Gems on Earth into monsters back in that day...-
