-...He then goes back to the window a few seconds later, just to take his model ship with him to save it, complete with the dramatic music cutting out entirely, awkwardly saying "Well I can't just leave her here...", before fleeing again-

Wanting to save his family and save the town from Gary's wrath, Hop Pop takes only a few seconds wish say goodbye to his model ship of the Green Lady and wish her safer shores elsewhere, before readily throwing it at the lock on the gate to Bessie's pen, hitting it with enough power to release the lock. He then yells "BESSIE! SNACK TIME!"-

-Gary can only confusedly ask "Who's Bessie, is that your wife?", before the snail herself charges out of the pen, rushing into the horde to effectively bowl them over. Gary can only say "Oh geez!" before they're all sent flying, after which Bessie starts quickly eating the mushrooms right off the heads of the infected townsfolk-

-Gary shouts in anger and fear at Bessie, but Hop Pop leaps onto Gary's mushroom head and starts punching him, yelling "TAke this, you overgrown vegetable!" which Gary, being a mushroom, actually takes offense to, throwing Hop Pop off and fighting him via his host-

-Bessie, meanwhile, starts freeing several of Wartwood's residents by eating the mushrooms controlling them, and Gary only realizes it in the middle of the fight, and yells at his zombified minions to stop her since she's eating all of the mushrooms. Ultimately, however, the entire horde of zombies proves to be no match for Bessie, who easily bashes them into the air by charging into them and swinging her tail, complete with actual bowling sound effects...And it's then that she notices the giant mushroom that is Apothecary Gary himself, which makes her eyes sparkle as it's a greater food source than virtually all of these tiny mushrooms combined-

-Gary sees Bessie charging at him, and his host reaches his hand out at the last second to stop her, Gary recoiling as Bessie keeps trying to eat the parasitic mushroom. Gary then starts begging Hop Pop for mercy, and reveals that he's the last of his kind, and sadly states that destroying him would wipe his species off of the planet forever...Considering that Gary is endangering and enslaving his family, as well as the whole town Hop Pop waits only a few seconds before bluntly saying "I can live with that", then screams as he shoves Gary towards Bessie, and Bessie is then shown slowly pulling and eventually outright tearing the mushroom clean out of his host's head before slurping it up, the camera only showing their shadows as this happens-

Gary then starts begging Hop Pop for mercy, and reveals that he's the last of his kind, and sadly states that destroying him would wipe his species off of the planet forever...Considering that Gary is endangering and enslaving his family, as well as the whole town Hop Pop waits only a few seconds before bluntly saying "I can live with that", then screams as he shoves Gary towards Bessie, and Bessie is then shown slowly pulling and eventually outright tearing the mushroom clean out of his host's head before slurping it up, the camera only showing their shadows as this happens-

The entire town is so confused by what happened that they all leave the barn in confusion, Mayor Toadstool even asks what day it is. Shortly after that, Gary's host also soon leaves, apparently so badly affected by Gary's mind-control that he doesn't even remember where he lives, only that his actual name is Lloyd-
