A few seconds after Anne and the Plantars leave the stable, the camera pans over to the left to show the remains of a purple potion left on a wall from when Bessie attacked the zombie horde, causing the potion jar to break near the wall. Hop Pop's beetle friend Jeremy suddenly shows up, and starts eating some mushrooms from the spilled potion...Which causes a smaller version of the same mushroom that is Gary himself to emerge from his head, infecting Jeremy with mind-control and enabling Gary to survive. The screen then slowly fades to black, and the end episode surprisingly ends on a cliffhanger as it's clear that Apothecary Gary will be a threat again in a future episode-

Many of Chaldea's members have a Pokemon or two that they train, and more are suspected to live in Basel and even other dimensions. With that knowledge, I've been wanting to conduct more research on them in order to better understand the species and possibly help protect the ones we're aware of, but as it stands, no one at Chaldea knows much them besides their own, individual Pokemon.

If you have a decent understanding of Pokemon, you might be able to help my fellow scientists and I have a better understanding of them as well...

Anne wonders what's going on and jokingly asks if fruit flies are on sale, to which Hop Pop answers that the event is about the Frog of the Year, which Sprig explains an annual event in which everyone votes for which frog in town they think best embodies the values of Wartwood. Polly even mentions that they all voted last week and asks if Anne remembers. Anne is surprised, because she actually doesn't and wonders why...-

-A flashback then shows Hop Pop, Sprig and Polly about to leave the house while Anne listens to a pop song on the couch with her headphones. Just after Hop Pop asks if she wants to go with them since they're going to go vote for Frog of the Year, the song just so happens to play the lyrics "No, you'll never make me go!", which Anne, who doesn't hear them, sings along with. And since the Plantars don't have a strong grasp of Earth technology, they logically take this as Anne deciding not to go and thus they go to vote without her-

The crowd is initially mostly silent and awkward as they take this literally, one frog even saying "I don't want my mind blown!", and it isn't until Anne explains it as a metaphor by saying that's a good thing that the crowd is like "Oh, okay!" and cheers instead. Mayor Toadstool remains unconvinced, stating "I'm looking forward to seeing this thing go down in flames" in a condescending tone, once again annoying Anne-

The crowd is initially mostly silent and awkward as they take this literally, one frog even saying "I don't want my mind blown!", and it isn't until Anne explains it as a metaphor by saying that's a good thing that the crowd is like "Oh, okay!" and cheers instead. Mayor Toadstool remains unconvinced, stating "I'm looking forward to seeing this thing go down in flames" in a condescending tone, once again annoying Anne-

-At their house, Anne starts planning out the party while grumbling about the mayor and calling his face stupid, but Sprig tries to tell her to not worry and just have fun planning the party, which Polly agrees with and tries to convince Anne of it by reminding her that she's Frog of the Year. Anne seems to hear them, but doesn't totally listen as her only response is quickly saying "Right, right, right, right. Okay, guys, listen up. A great party has three ingredients: entertainment, exclusivity, and spectacle!"

-She places Hop Pop in charge of entertainment and dubs him Master of Ceremonies while handing him a boom mic, and Polly in charge of exclusivity, telling her she gets to decide who's allowed to attend the party and who isn't, handing her some posts with velvet rope to control a line. Hop Pop, having a love of theater, is in awe and states that he's been waiting for this moment his whole life, while Polly is hyped to control the crowd, saying "I can't wait to abuse this power!"-
