-At their house, Anne starts planning out the party while grumbling about the mayor and calling his face stupid, but Sprig tries to tell her to not worry and just have fun planning the party, which Polly agrees with and tries to convince Anne of it by reminding her that she's Frog of the Year. Anne seems to hear them, but doesn't totally listen as her only response is quickly saying "Right, right, right, right. Okay, guys, listen up. A great party has three ingredients: entertainment, exclusivity, and spectacle!"

-She places Hop Pop in charge of entertainment and dubs him Master of Ceremonies while handing him a boom mic, and Polly in charge of exclusivity, telling her she gets to decide who's allowed to attend the party and who isn't, handing her some posts with velvet rope to control a line. Hop Pop, having a love of theater, is in awe and states that he's been waiting for this moment his whole life, while Polly is hyped to control the crowd, saying "I can't wait to abuse this power!"-

-At the town square, Anne, donning a hat as the party planner, starts directing others for preparations and goes to check on how several of them are doing concerning their assigned jobs. So far, preparations seem to be off to a good start as Stumpy has a food station set up and Loggle's built a giant statue of Anne in honor of her win. She then goes to check on Hop Pop, who gives the following joke as an example of his comedy routine "Have you heard about the snail who went on a diet? He's a shell of his former self!" Anne isn't that impressed, but still remains fairly confident as she just tells him to keep working on it-

-Next she goes to check on Sprig and his love confession to Ivy, which he tries to demonstrate by talking to a scarecrow designed resemble Ivy...only to nervously stutter and walk forward, trip, crash into said scarecrow headfirst, and end up sending it's head flying and landing in his lap. He immediately screams in terror upon seeing this, and Anne quickly starts getting worried again. It only gets worse when she notices that Polly insists on using the posts and velvet rope as nunchucks, and in doing so she accidentally knocks over a frog carrying a box of party supplies and renders them unconscious-

So far, preparations seem to be off to a good start as Stumpy has a food station set up and Loggle's built a giant statue of Anne in honor of her win. She then goes to check on Hop Pop, who gives the following joke as an example of his comedy routine "Have you heard about the snail who went on a diet? He's a shell of his former self!" Anne isn't that impressed, but still remains fairly confident as she just tells him to keep working on it-

-Next she goes to check on Sprig and his love confession to Ivy, which he tries to demonstrate by talking to a scarecrow designed resemble Ivy...only to nervously stutter and walk forward, trip, crash into said scarecrow headfirst, and end up sending it's head flying and landing in his lap. He immediately screams in terror upon seeing this, and Anne quickly starts getting worried again. It only gets worse when she notices that Polly insists on using the posts and velvet rope as nunchucks, and in doing so she accidentally knocks over a frog carrying a box of party supplies and renders them unconscious-

Stumpy has no idea what that is, so Anne just tells him that it's fresh fish and to get it, and her frustration and determination to prove the mayor wrong continues as she says "Burn these decorations and get new ones! Replace that jug band with a deejay! And where the heck is that chocolate fountain?!"-

-At that point, Anne starts hyperventilating in anger, and a concerned Sprig even asks if she thinks she's taking this a little too seriously. Her answer is just an angry "NO!", which she yells loud enough to actually echo throughout town-

At first, the party seems to be off to a good start, as the guests enjoy the decor and initially enjoy the music, but it quickly starts going downhill when Stumpy tries serving a giant mudskipper that he's named "Sashimi" because of Anne's advice. Mayor Toadstool is interested and asks if the fish is fresh, and Stumpy disinterestedly but honestly replies "Well, you can't get fresher". This isn't an exaggeration as it turns out the giant fish isn't even dead, and it soon jumps up, screeches in anger, and starts chasing Toadstool around the area. Meanwhile, Hop Pop's improv comedy show isn't going well, as his introduction is to awkwardly ask where one member of the crowd comes from...even though he lives in the same town as Hop Pop himself. He can't think of a follow-up joke and just starts sweating nervously while staring at the audience-
