After all, Beatrice not only said that she's done everything for her mother, but she was also clearly saddened by Petelgeuse's death even though he was clearly dangerous. She even spoke of him in the way a close relative or friend would.

Subaru mentions she did call it a Gospel, Roswaal says it's because it lacks an official name, so she calls it by the deffective versions, Subaru wondered what he meant with deffective, but shakes his head and ow wonders how he'll convince her to help him-

His reaction makes Roswaal think those words are insufficient to Subaru, so he says to tell her "I am that person", he asks what does that mean, he says he just needs to ask, then when she questions him, he must answer that. If he does that, she'll remain by his side as an ally. He asks how he's so sure, Roswaal says it's all in her contract and she can't override it. While unsure, Subaru says he'll try, but if it fails he'll punch his face, Roswaal chuckled and agreed-
