I mean I get it. People really didn’t like the Sun and Moon method of showing literally everything before release, but I feel like there’s a balance to be struck here.

the tweet yesterday made it sound like there would be more stuff besides what was shown today so I think there might still be some new pokemon

Supposedly they're gonna show more stuff over the "next few days."


That video feels like it was more or less just to appease people that thought we'd get a new trailer at Gamescom.

I really appreciate the small things, in these games. Taking snapshots with random NPCs, walking around and taking in the sights/seeing towns off in the distance, listening to each town's theme, etc. Sun and Moon (and Ultra S/M) had some neat locales/dumb things like laying in beds, but a lot of it was lost on me with how empty it seemed most of the time. Ultra at least tried with introducing certain "pettable" Pokemon in overworld, which was neat, but then had empty hallway syndrome to the logical extreme sometimes (Ultra Megalopolis). Feel like I enjoyed messing around in Let's Go better, though that's more recent/on my mind.

The lack of a semi-top down view that the previous games had do help it a lot. It allows you to see the detail within the buildings and npcs a lot more clearly, and it helps bring the scale of the world pretty nicely.

Found out through the grapevine that I might be teaching 9th grade this year instead of at least one of the grade levels from last year. That’s potentially a blessing, but I’ll be finding out more later today.

If the SNES Online never gets EarthBound, I'm gonna be suspicious since they still haven't put EarthBound Beginnings on the NES Online.

or Nintendo stopped caring and I'm sad now

Maybe we’d also specifically get the DS version of Viva Piñata. Better than nothing, I guess...

I unironically am really interested in being able to play Nuts & Bolts again after not being able to do so for years, so this would be rather disappointing ahaha...

Really like what they did with the towns in SwSh. I'm that one guy who wastes a lot of time aimlessly wandering around towns buying stuff and talking to people, so the extra attention to detail is very much appreciated.

If we do get Rare Replay on the Switch (oh God plz!) I want to know they'll do it.

On Xbox One, its nine Xbox 360 games are given to you as individual downloads separate from the base game.

But if they pull it off then my wallet is totally ready.
