Aight, I have a subject change.

Based on the currently known roster of Smash Ultimate, which series with a playable character have you not played, and which series of those would you play first if you had the choice?

As i’ve played most of the series, Dragon Quest is coming up on my “games to play” schedule. I got DQ8 used locally, and I want to get DQ4 at some point but it’s not available at any GameStop’s by me.

Thoughts?

Series I have not played:
Series I'm most likely to play next: as I already got DQ8 on sale on the eShop, DQ11 is coming out, and I'll probably get DQ3 on my phone.

I have never played any Persona games so probably that. As for the rest for e cast, I have played most games save for the original Game & Watch. I grew up on the first Dragon Quest so seeing it in brings back childhood memories. I am not so well versed in MGS with only one game, the GameCube game, under my belt.

Ah ****, I haven’t played Awakening or Fates yet and probably never will. Add that to the list of games I have yet to play. Other than that, I’m all good I think.

Banjo kazooie and dragon quest
I was happy for the people who were happy around here and now I want to experience these games and get a sense for their charachters

Oh and when ff7 remake comes out ill finally play that I have played a final fantasy before just not clouds game

Great choice! I haven’t played the Banjo-Kazooie series since I was a wee lad, but once I finish DMCV, i’m going on a marathon playthrough of Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie. I never played Tooie when I was a kid, so that will be a new experience almost 20 years in the making.

I am super excited for new AC. I have been a huge fan of the series since the first one and sunk god knows how many hours into it.

I actually collect fish and insects (not currently as I don’t have much time) so I am super excited to see what sort of creatures we can find. Like, maybe I am setting myself up for disappointment, but I’m hoping we can see things like dung beetles, archerfish, goblin sharks, crown of throne starfish, blind cave fish, daddy longlegs, katydids, etc. I also like dinosaurs so I look forward to seeing the fossil list expanded to maybe include more recently extinct animals like Dodos and Quaggas.

I used to have a school of archerfish in a brackish tank as well as an Amazonian leaf fish. It would be nice to have them again. Virtually.

And if I was to be so bold, I would love to see the Museum expanded to include ancient relics such as sarcophaguses, old pottery, Knight Armor, woman of Willindorf-something something fertility statue.

But yeah AC looks cool.

Don't worry, DQ11S is not a technically demanding game nor does framerate particulalry matter. In fact I think it was originally planned for PS3 before they shifted development to the PS4.

Well I see I missed some stuff.

In regardless to shiny, I’m glad for him. Not that I wanted him gone, but every few weeks he kept saying he wanted to spend less time here and leave to live a real life. I’m happy he found the willpower for that, I wish him the best!

For the other situation, yeah that’s bad, but I do wonder if those users had ages displayed because if they didn’t I wouldn’t say that action was totally needed, at least a warning if one wasn’t given. At the same time though, I don’t think stuff was being sent unless asked by said person so that’s kind on those people. But that’s a whole debate that honestly staff wouldn’t ok, so there’s nothing we can do there really.

Lastly, I was finishing up the last few levels after beating Mario makers story.

Took me awhile to realize that warrior dad is Judd from splatoon, or at least I assume he has to be

I've never played Animal Crossing but I might finally bite on this new one to see what all the fuss is about.

I tend to not step out of my comfort zone with new Nintendo franchises so I should be better about that, otherwise I'll just end up playing mostly Mario/Kirby/Zelda/DK/Smash/Pokemon and sometimes Metroid.

Hmmm...which series especially bore you? I’ve played pretty much everything (I don’t count R.O.B, Duck Hunt or Wii Fit Trainer), but I could give some recommendations if you were interested?

Alright, if i’m being honest you have GOT to play Splatoon, Animal Crossing and Xenoblade if you get the chance.

Xenoblade 1 is one of my favorites, Animal Crossing is an incredible casual experience, and Splatoon is super fun. It’s one of my favorite online games.

But I also will be getting/playing DQXI, i’m psyched for it!

Persona 5 is amazing, you absolutely should play it!

If you have the opportunity, my favorite Fire Emblem games I’ve played is Path of Radiance, and Radiant Dawn. Awakening is a good game to get started with, but man...Ike and his story? Super great!

Echoes: Shadow of Valentia is good too. Unfortunately a lot of Fire Emblem games are hard to come by, and if you find them they’re expensive. Though, i’m not sure how it is in Japan.

the most gameplay you'll get of animal crossing in a day is usually your first day or two with the most content where you have to set everything up or get certain items. after that, you just keep chillin.

I'm optimistic about it. I expect some framerate and loading time issues at worst, but it's probably nothing too serious.

Seeing a new AC announced was like seeing Smash announced all over again. I love that series way too damn much. Now if they included Harvest Moon-style gardening, ****

It’s basically me wrapped up into a game. I collect fish and bugs, I like art and ancient history, I like gardening and pulling weeds, I like giving **** to people, I like interior designing, I like animals, I prefer rustic living over city living, I like riding buses and trains, I don’t like having to pay for rent/mortgage. I don’t write letters but I keep letters I receive. And I don’t reset my games.

Don't hit me, but I have Xenoblade 1 and Splatoon 1 sitting and collecting dust. I bought the first one when it was originally at GameStop because it was a limited release and I thought I'd play it someday, and I got Splatoon 1 on sale at Best Buy. I'd honestly probably be more likely to play Xenoblade if I got the 3DS version though, which I know is just wasting money, but I'm much more of a portable gamer these days.

As I said above, I might try Animal Crossing when it comes to Switch.

I'm still interested in playing a SMT game proper. I played a bit of digital devil saga a few months after Joker was announced but I quickly realised it probably wasn't a good idea to start a full-length RPG while I was so busy. Do want to find the time for it though.

I've had a copy of Persona 5 taking up space in my home for at least a year now but I've yet to play it since my backlog is 2 miles long and I'm and old man who don't have the time for 60+ hour games anymore, that said I do want to get around to it eventually.
Dragon Quest is also on my radar with XI coming to Switch soon.

Man, this E3 was pure quality from start to end, until it concluded with a hype killer.

I highly recommend Digital Devil Saga. Its mechanics are on the bizarre side but it has one of the best Megami Tensei stories.

If those bore you, here’s what i’ll suggest:

Persona 5 is a commitment, so if it’s a JRPG thing, i’d absolutely recommend starting with Final Fantasy VII. Even with the upcoming remake (which looks amazing), it’s just so good. I’d argue that having the experience of the original would amplify the enjoyment of the remake, but what do I know?

Splatoon is also super fun, but i’m sure you’ve seen the gameplay and what not. I’d always recommend it, but again it may not be for everyone.
