Thanks! I've made it to the start of what was originally disc 3, so now I just have sidequests left as far as I know. I don't know if I'm going to bother with Chocobo breeding - I know it's needed to get one of the two remaining Summon materia that I don't have, but it just seems like it would take up a lot of time, seems like it would rely heavily on random chance, and I barely even know how to capture a Chocobo, let alone how to do anything else with them.

Is there an easy way to earn GP at the Gold Saucer? I'm probably going to need a lot of it; the arm wrestling game is reliable, but I only get 2 GP per attempt, so that's going to take ages for me to get enough GP out of it to earn Omnislash.

Also, what's a good way to boost a character's defense? I briefly tried the final dungeon, and the enemies are taking off a good chunk of Cloud's health per hit. Maybe I'm underleveled, but I beat the boss at the end of disc two with barely any effort, so I don't think that would be it. (my characters are all in the early to mid fifties, I think)

Raising a good chocobo and breeding is actually the easiest way to get GP lol. When you win races as a rider, you get either get the item or just get GP. And when you're in A class or higher, the items are worth a lot more GP.

Oh, for Omnislash? Unless they changed it, Omnislash can only be gotten with BP; you can only get it through Arena fights; nothing else.

To be honest, as many times as I've played it (at least 15 since I've played it since 1997 when it first came out lol) I can't remember a Def stat, actually, other than Armor. Let me clarify; I mean I don't remember any way of increasing Defense other than Armor; I know there is a defense stat; just armor is the only way to impact it. If you've bought all the best armors/weapons, you may want to try exploring some of the optional places to see if something better pops up.

Hmm...If you're getting too much of your health chipped way, trying buy HP up materia in Cosmo Canyon. Level that up and you can up just about everyone's HP to 9,999 fairly easily. You may also just be under-leveled as well if you don;t have enough HP to be tanking hits. A lot of end-game enemies do a lot of damage, though. Basically the only way you'll feel 'comfortable' is either having Max (or close to max) HP or just increasing your damage output so you aren't fighting for too long.

With a 3-man team, try to have one character who has healing magic at the ready so the other two can wail away at an enemy and be healed by the third if things get rough.

One thing to point out, if you hadn't noticed it already (I actually didn't notice my first playthrough at all) is that the Magic (Green) and Summon (Red) materia actually negatively affect some stats by a certain percentage when equipped. So if you've got too many Magic Materias on someone, their physical attack will be much lower (while Magical will be higher); too many Summon materias chips away at your health fairly significantly since the higher level Summons (Like Bahamut Neo) reduce the equipped character's max HP by 10% (possibly more; can't remember off the top of my head).

My general advice: Train a bit in a different area before the final dungeon to level up (try one of the optional end-game areas); Manage your materia well and have someone as a 'dedicated healer' (Enemy Skill materia has one of the best party heal spells if you can find and learn it); never assume you're over-leveled.

On the very slim chance we get a bonus character, it's definitely going to be some type of character from a newer game.

ngl, all of these are pretty underwhelming. Either not enough variety or the characters just make no sense imho

Like for example, Doomguy and Scorpion kinda overlap imo. They're both western characters known for their mature and fairly controversial games. both of them in separate packs, fine, but they don't really make sense together in the same one, if you ask me.

I'm just asking for a little more variety, that's all.

But yeah, if I had to choose, uh... I guess 4. Klonoa and Heavy would still be pretty dope, if not a little too out there

Listen all I'm saying is I'm not a fan of any of those timelines. They may have some neat characters in one or two of them but as a whole I wouldn't want that.

Earthworm Jim, Scorpion, Doom guy, Heavy, All of them are great characters but none of them really appeal to me. The closest that does is Earthworm Jim but I haven't even played any of his games I just think his design is neat and from what I've seen I think his move set would be neat. None of the DLC have really appealed to my tastes except for Banjo somewhat so I'm really only viewing it off of which would be the funnest to play as.

Honestly? I'm really unsure. I'd like to think if there's any post Fighter's Pass DLC, it'd just lead to a Season 2. If there's any DLC after the Fighter's Pass that isn't a Season 2, it'd probably be something no one (or just a handful of people) would expect, much like the Plant.

When it comes to character 4 and 5, I'm hoping at least 1 of them will be a bit more out of left field, or someone who isn't speculated heavily. Though I guess it'd be more accurate to say I hope they don't get leaked soon.
