You know what summer means: My cat begging the swallow family in our balcony to allow him to eat them.

Yeah, JEAN GREY is the comic book character that dies and comes back to life so often :yoshi:
I know it's a meme than anything but I couldn't find anyone else. Sue me.

So if the Hero is set for a Summer debut, that's anywhere between now and August 31st.

I'm thinking it'll be a mid July thing but I havent' had a good track record on that kind of thing.

Whatever happened to that one smash Ultimate Update notification bot thing? That one kinda predicted that we wouldn't get the next DLC character right after E3. Since the notification of the latest balance update was not to be expired until a couple weeks or so after E3.

I can see Hero releasing around the first half of July, but I can't see it not at least being that month or what is left of this one (although unlikely).

A few days ago, the Smash Bros YouTube channel apparently had an update. Subscribers noticed that the channel rose to the top of the subscription list with a blue dot next to it, which would mean there was a new video added to it. Apparently this happened a week before Joker’s new challenger video.

Then again, it’s probably not the best indication of a release window because the same thing happened a month before E3.

Is that why your username changed for a while there?

I’m betting on early July for Hero. Then Banjo in September along with the next reveal in the September direct. Then the final boy in whatever they do in winter. January or February. I don’t see them bringing ANOTHER Smash DLC character to the game awards. They wouldn’t do that twice in a row.

Hey guys i have been wondering what it would be like if the T-Rex from Odyssey was the final DLC character instead of Dry Bowser for Mario Tennis Aces? The results of seeing this would have me laughing and dying in tears of seeing a prehistoric dinosaur playing tennis

BTW, the next Nintendo Stockholder's meeting is on Thursday so we may get news of the new Switch models.

That's not a theory. That's just straight-up what happens.
Really? Is that every outright stated? I’ve tried to find something that confirms that but most I find is people saying it’s heavily implied.

Araki wasn't planning to reboot the series. Steel Ball Run wasn't even going to be a JoJo part until he decided to make it one 1 year into writing it.

also GER can't do that what the ****
it was a crackpot, half-joke theory.

That SBR claim is incorrect. What really happened was that SBR was just published as Steel Ball Run without JJBA in the title as a request from the Shōnen Jump editorial department to attract interest in a “new series.” When Araki made the shift to Ultra Jump to focus on more mature content, he added JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure to the title. He has said he always planned SBR to be JoJo Part 7 from the beginning.

And do we even know the full limit of GER’s power? All we know is that Giorno can’t get hurt because GER will just reset the attack and action to zero. It stands to reason that if the universe was reset, especially if it was reset in the same general area as Giorno, that GER would just say “No.”
But that didn’t happen so idk.

Why does everyone want this to happen THIS early. The darn thing hasn’t even been out for three years yet and y’all want to throw it out for a new model?
I mean the 3DS and the GBA had new, updated models released in that span of time. The DS too, I think. It's not unheard of.

Edit: Yeah definitely the DS too. I had a DS Lite when Pearl released and that was less than three years after the initial system release.

3DS was getting a model every two years.

Nobody wants to throw away their Switch. There’s multiple reasons.

I’m interested in a Switch Mini not because I want to buy it, but because I believe something like that could greatly help Nintendo out. If they released a cheaper Switch alongside Sword and Shield, those games would perform BEYOND well. If that happens, Pokémon Co might see more potential in the console market again, and stop focusing almost purely on mobile with their spin-offs as they have for 4 years. In addition, Game Freak might have more say in the brand again and might get the resources to actually do things like the national dex.

Other people just want an upgrade to their Switch to just have a better play experience, and see it run closer to the other hardware on the market.
Maybe their Switches are starting to slow down and not run as well, and they’re hoping a better version releases soon for $300 so they can buy that instead of the same version again for $300.

I could definitely see one releasing alongside BotW 2, since that would be an easy game to market with extra power. Assuming BotW2 and Switch Pro would drop next year I probably wouldn’t buy, seeing as the PS5 drops next year and I’d save up for that instead.

As long as their aren’t exclusive titles to the newer hardware like the 3DS, Then I guess it’s okay. But it still feels scuzzy to me. It’s like “hey, we sold you an underpowered bad version of the console before and you all waisted your money! You should have just waited for this better version to come out (quickly hides the second even better version that won’t come out till next year behind back). It’s like Apple. It’s rediculous.

Plus, it probably won’t happen anyway because, if I recall correctly, Nintendo’s president has said they have no plans to upgrade the thing yet.

yeah tbh i'll gladly welcome a cheaper switch model if it convinces more of my friends to buy the damn thing

a whole lot of them are interested in smash but don't want to drop close to £300 on a smash machine alone

It’s more like “You bought this thing three years ago. Now technology is better and we can make a better one.”

Saying you should’ve skipped the Switch at launch because there’d be a better version three years later is like saying you should’ve skipped the Wii because the Wii U would come out later and could play Wii games. Yeah, you’d save $300, but you also wouldn’t be able to play any of the of the Switch’s games until the new one came out a few years later.

Also, Mr. Furukara said quite the contrary. He said they are currently and always working on new hardware, but have no plans to unveil it at E3 2019.

Hate to break it to you, but September is included by Japan as Summer. So, we could see it as late as I believe September 31st?

Hold up I'm dumb nevermind. I could have sworn September was included as Summer due to all the way back when people were being cheeky about Sakurai saying the 3DS version was coming in the summer then it releasing during September, then people proceeding to correct them about that. My bad.

HOLD THE **** UP NEVERMIND I'M NOT DUMB SUMMER CAN LAST TILL MID-SEPTEMBER OVER IN JAPAN. I'M NOT DUMB. I'M NOT DUMB.

Regardless of when Hero comes, we’re definitely getting other stuff coming along with him, if we’re waiting on more details and a more specific release window just like after Joker’s initial reveal. Mii Fighter outfits are a given, but what else do you guys think is possibly coming, just like how we got Stage Builder with Joker? I’m hoping for Home Run Contest, but the real dream for me is Target Test. If anything, it’ll probably be just like how it was in Brawl with shared levels, but I’d like to see them do something like the fan game SSB Crusade, where there’s different stages based on character playstyles (heavy characters like Bowser, Ganondorf, and K. Rool share a stage, projectile-based fighters like Ness, Robin, and Simon, etc.).

Homerun Contest is probable, but I also think we'll get at least one new mode that people weren't rooting for, like Shared Content or Video Editor.

Break the Targets in any way would be cool and I hope we can get new Spirits content aside from Dragon Quest ones.

I just want a more powerful Switch honestly. Obviously there's only so much you can do with a portable console, but something with a little more beef to it would be nice, specially since my current switch is starting to crack a bit.
