Wait, so does the original universe continue and the story takes place in a new universe, or was the original universe reset?

Spoiler: why does everyone get stuck on this

Made in Heaven does a universe reset, but a reset is just a reset. Literally everything stays the same except if Pucci kills someone. Since Pucci killed literally 99% of the same cast, they're no longer the same person. However, everyone else is quite literally the same as they're transferred to the new universe unharmed. That's why Rohan and the Part 4 gang still get continual one-shot issues. They're literally unaffected by what happened, not like they could have stopped it anyway.

When Jotaro and Jolyne were killed, it created new versions of themselves. The other JoJos and DIO still exist, but Jotaro and Jolyne are changed to different people and live out basically the same lives under different features or names. When Pucci is killed, his being is erased from existence, meaning he never existed to stop this new Jotaro from being a good father to Irene, the new Jolyne.

The universe in Part 7 and 8 are entirely separate from what happens in Part 6. But Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe still runs to this day and still exists within the main universe in the modern day setting. There are like 11 or so chapters right now, you should probably read some of them.

My theory is that the reset Part 6 universe is that everything is the same, except Pucci never existed. Because Pucci wasn’t creating more stand users, Jotaro’s battles ended after DIO (with the exception of Part 4 and looking for Diavolo for a bit), meaning he was able to have a better relationship with Jolyne, which is why they’re all together in the end. In addition, since the bloodline of JoJos fighting DIO actually ends with DIO in Part 3, and Pucci doesn’t exist, Jolyne doesn’t need to be a JoJo anymore, so she Jolyne becomes Irene.

Also my crackpot theory is that somehow Gold Experience Requiem created the SBR universe separate from the rebirthed mainline universe. Araki probably knew he would reboot after Part 6, and there’s no reason for him to mention that Giorno is in Florida during Part 6 if he wasn’t going to do anything. Either Araki just forgot a plotpoint again, or Giorno is going to be revealed to be the god of the SBR universe in Part 9.

It's getting really popular in America now cause of the adult swim dub done by Viz. The only real issue is the super ****ing dumb copyright names they come up with to not have to say Killer Queen. Like seriously, Viz avoided copyright from Prince's lawyers, possibly the ****ing toughest lawyers of music copyright, just because they put an ampersand in the goddamn title of 'Soft & Wet' instead of 'Soft and Wet', but they gotta go and change Limp Bizkit to Flaccid Pancake.

It's fantastic.
If you do not have Crunchyroll, it's on Netflix. Parts 1-2.
Part 1 was a great start, and Part 2 was fantastic.

Just started playing Mass Effect: Andromeda. I'm surprised by the depth of the character creator, it lets me create the aliens from Terraformars.

I do feel like people are underestimating how well-known Mario RPG itself is.
Like, I completely agree that Geno would garner a ton of "Literally who?" reactions, probably the majority, but Mario RPG has historically sold very well all things considered. It sold 2 million copies on it's initial release, it's been ported over to the virtual console several times, it was included on the SNES classic which sold 5 million, it's the grandfather of Mario RPGs and pretty much created character like Bowser and Peach's personalities.
Obviously that's still not a huge amount, the younger generation is mostly left out, and not everybody will have played the game up to the point where Geno is even introduced, but Geno is undeniably an important aspect of the game. Hell, the fact that Geno is so popular in smash speculation has probably greatly helped increase the number of people who know him simply through cultural osmosis.
And honestly a lot of these arguments against Geno could also be used against Banjo, even though he was in a different state prior to reveal. I don't think Geno is getting in, but hey, who knows?

Don't forget that All of Europe essentially doesn't have the same love and nostalgia that the West and Japan has for Geno and Super Mario RPG considering they didn't get the game until it was released on the Wii..their first exposure to Geno was a, to them, "literally who" cameo in Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga.
