Been thinking about making some small Smash Ultimate content on my channel, since nothing is on it. I finally got a good idea for a video... You all will also be cursed with the knowledge of what my trash voice sounds like.

Well I’ve been thinking of doing a video sharing my thoughts on Nintendo’s E3!

Not that I disagree with McDonald's having infamously terrible customer service, but I feel bad for the people who work there. The one closest to me is always swamped with customers, and based on the way those customers act, you'd guess each and every one of them was having the worst day of their life. Then one of the workers gives them their bag of food, the customer notices the order is wrong, and then they dump off all of their stress and frustration on a guy they've interacted with for only a minute and a half.

My order is wrong all the time, but I usually don't make a big deal of it. Partly because of the reason above, and also because I'm typically too hungry to care that my Quarter Pounder has onion slivers on it.

is going to be a fun and interesting character. I like the menu-driven stuff, and using magic like that is something I had of interest for an RPG character. The MP meter was something I even considered for Brian, but dismissed the idea due to how unfeasible it was. Looking at the moveset Hero has, I probably made the right decision here, as his moveset isn't completely full of spells(an issue Brian suffers from) but has a nice balance of other attacks.

Definitely. Still need to know if the MP meter can even be refilled during a stock, but I do enjoy playing technical characters a lot. The shield and dash attack basically being Link's should make him a little familiar to play. Considering how I was aware of Dragon Quest for almost a decade because of having seen the DQ V hero somewhere else, seeing any rep at all feels great.

But I can't wait for the eventual surge in people playing him online, just to try to land Kamikazee on someone. I can see the future.

I was just hoping Hero (before he was confirmed) would have some addition that made a strong connection to rpg mechanics. I'm glad to see that we got something pretty in-depth.

If the cost is high, I'm guessing you can refill it via things like physical attacks and/or moving around. It's also possible to get a specific "charging" mechanic akin to Inkling's. This would force you to not overuse these kind of attacks.

In the case of Brian, his spells cost very little and both moving around and hitting stuff with a stick is supposed to increase his MP regain. It was hard to balance this well, so I just went for something else. I went for a level up mechanic which is actually way more interesting for the take, and focuses more on unique abilities and showing off all the magic in Quest 64 instead of a quick mishmash.

As someone who worked for a local restaurant in my area that was probably somewhat understaffed (being asked to work dishes in between delivering food and carrying people's luggage), horribly managed in terms of design (we had two dining rooms and a bar that were all disjointed from one another because it's also connected to like a two century old inn, one of the dining rooms being down narrow stairs from the kitchen), and constantly busy as hell...

I really have a lot of sympathy for restaurant workers. It's a demanding and very straining job to work for hours at a time. You just always feel defeated after a shift and you usually end up working weird hours to accommodate the needs of the restaurant. For that reason, I also don't really care too much about minor mistakes with food. Though that said, I also know exactly what is generally acceptable and what is not. I have a lot of patience with the food industry because things do happen and are often going crazy, but I still know the limits of that patience because sometimes people genuinely just lose track of one too many things and cause you as a customer to lose serious amounts of potentially limited time.

The most important aspect of it all is communicating to the customer and the people involved what is going on. Silence and mistakes just makes everybody more frustrated in the moment. Most people are reasonable with a little communication even if they are hungry and annoyed with you for making mistakes.
