Hot take: Baby Pokemon were a good idea (or at least some of them).

take :125:, for instance. It's too strong to be obtained at the start of the game, but by the time it's appropriately powerful, you probably already have a full team and can't really use it. Then they added :239:, who works as an earlygame encounter, allowing people to actually use it. I wouldn't object to seeing more, Pokemon like Heatran, Stonjourner, and Falinks would benifit.

:172:/:173:/:174:/Azurill are all pretty unnecessary though.

Interesting Terraria 1.4.1 patch notes here!
Lots of nice buffs.
A lot of the regulars left after the disaster, and didn't want to return (and I can't really fault them for that). I still miss the old social, but at least most of the users are either here or you-know-where.
I apologize if this is wrong to ask, but was it the May disaster with that one user, or was it the summer disaster with people being angry at the staff?

I was referring to the May one, though I guess the second was part of it.

Igglybuff is the real unnecessary one. Not because "every new pokemon needs to be an infinity+1 sword", but because it's just ugly. Who would pick that over Jigglypuff?
How do you think Smash would handle Urshifu and it's multiple forms?
With a spirit battle.

I would say it could be a stance swap character... but it can't really switch between the two styles in Pokemon... but maybe just for the sake of Smash?
That's kinda what I'm getting at lol. Don't need to overcomplicate something that you can just map to Down-B and call it a day.

I think they work as very early encounters, assuming Game Freak would ever actually put them on the first or second route (though B2W2 has early Riolu, and Elekid not long after); Cleffa early on felt good in randomized HeartGold.

though I guess I’m biased ‘cause I think they’re cute. They are basically useless later on, you just let ‘em join the battle first then quickly switch so they’ll eventually evolve. I guess GF just uses ‘em for lore/cute pre-evos and that’s it.

I thought it was obvious I was rejecting Rillaboom and pretty much all of gen 8.
Honestly I kinda like the Gen 8 starters and a decent chunk of the designs there. then again I'm a furry and a decent chunk of gen 8 is just anthro animals soooo

I'm confused. I asked "How would Smash handel Urshifu?" and they responded "as a spirit battle". How does that not relate to Smash?
It's your response to that being basically "Wow, you really like Rillaboom,"
when "you dislike Urshifu" requires a rather large leap in logic to make it to "then you must love Rillaboom."

OK. Fair point. I was kind of under the assumption that most people thought he would be Smash's Gen 8 mon. So forgive me for making that leap in logic.

Let’s face it, if we get another Pokémon fighter, it’s obviously going to be Magnemite. Not Toxtricity, not any of the other Gen 8 ‘mons, just Magnemite. Maybe Magikarp, but more-likely Magnemite. Think about it: why wouldn’t it be Magnemite? Y’all remember those Japanese fanpolls, and plus, it’s another Kanto ‘mon, and they don’t need to advertise Gen 8 (Nintendo is choosing and Gen 8 reached near the top Pokémon game sales) so clearly, it’s going to be Magnemite. No Rillaboom, no Zacian, not even Falinks, it’s going to be Magnemite.

And I’m not being biased: I really really want Gengar in Smash; it’s one of my favorite Pokémon, but we all know that’s not gonna happen. Yes, it’s a Kanto ‘mon too, but still, Magnemite has more going in its favor. I mean seriously, just watch, if we get a Pokémon in Smash reveal in next week’s Nintendo Direct, it’s gonna be Magnemite. I’m watching it right now in fact, Nintendo let me see it early thanks to my dad’s friend’s cousin’s mom’s cat’s puppy and- WHAT IT’S IMPIDIMP IT’S IMPIDIMP AAAAAAAAAA-

Magnemite is lame. We should add it's evolution, Magneton.:082:

it's Magnemite but five times cooler.

Jokes aside, and likeyhood aside, I think Urshifu is just an amazing opportunity for Smash. The potential of a stance swap character, not a transforming one, a true stance swap character is Intriguing enough. Then there’s the fact that we don’t really have any playable legendary Pokémon. There’s just mewtwo. And how often does the chance come along that we get a legendary that’s not part of a duo or a trio that has the ideal body shape for Smash. That’s some real planetary alignment type stuff right there. Out of all the Gen 8 Pokémon that actually have a chance, I think I’d be most excited for Urshifu.

I just need one Silcoon. That's it. One of the simplest evolutions to get. And there is ONLY one trade in the GTS for Silcoon right now, and they are requesting...

a Silcoon.

I'm going to bed. Hopefully, someone will trade me their Silcoon for my Cascoon.
Good night Aurane!
I think I might have one that I can trade in a game. What Pokémon game are you playing?

Played the avengers beta. It’s pretty solid so far, the exclusive content for final version isn’t great, but that test of the game has a lot of hard work put into it. Kamhala is a pretty great character. As for play styles,

Captain America,Black Widow, Kamhala would be my top 3 favorite play styles in this. It’s worth checking out imo

Man, I'm still pissed at GameFreak. Have been since they totally got lazy on ORAS and said that the Battle Frontier was too much work.
I've barely touched SwSh, to be honest. It looks worse than this f***ing WII GAME!
I genuinely feel betrayed. Especially since GameFreak was rewarded with excellent sales for minimal effort.

Starting to go through and more thoroughly document my game collection. I finally got the excel spreadsheet done and now have to go through and price out each title using Price Charting. Am counting about 500 individual carts/discs so this will take a while. It was very annoying to have to go through titles from 2010 - 2020 to see if they came with manuals or not. lol

I saw the thread on ResetERA pointing out that Gamecube game prices are really starting to get up there. CIB Chibi Robo is apparently now a $200+ game with loose copies going for $100+. I also saw that Pokemon games have literally doubled in price since the pandemic despite being some of the most common titles on any system. Supply/Demand I guess.

Was also listening to the CUPodast talk about making sure loved ones know what you have in case of the inevitable so they're not burdened or to help with expenses. Depressing but we are living through a pandemic after all.

Huh, just looked up who is going to make the FNAF1 Remake, and:

1) They worked before on a FNAF2 remake that was really good....but to a fault as it was basically FNAF2 but better in every way & it used models from Help Wanted. So when it was released, Scott had to take it down.

2) The dev in question, if what I read of them on twitter & others peoples on reddit are anything to go by, is kinda of a ****. Even outside the takedown, he apparantly been quite rude to other FNAFgame creators & kinda act like a edgelord in general. (granted, he is on twitter, so that part isn't surprising)

Now, if he is officialy working with Scott on a official FNAF1 Remake, I assume them & Scott are cool and that he will act more professional/respectful to others. Still, i'm cautiously optimistic, going to look up a bit more before I change my opinion.

In fact, Guh-Huzzah! Guh-Huzzah! & @Taylor F , does the name " Phisnom " sound familiar to you two?

What happened? This disaster must have been a thing when I was still a bit more shy and non-introductory than I am today.

What is this "Disaster" you speak of?
