Man the more I play Sakura Wars, the more mixed I am on getting it. I think I really did just buy it "to tick the box" kinda reason. I like it but a lot of stuff is a bit off.
Just awkward with the face to face sections.

That looks really cool and I'm not into the series. I think you'll find JD on Discord more. Haven't seen him much on here the past few days,

Speaking of Dr Stone, that's a good show. It's got a very interesting premise and how Senku interacts with others sets up for some good rivalries and also character development moments.

I wish the minor characters were more interesting though. His best friend Taiju fell off the map for half of season 1.

Senku's seiyuu just kills it (He's Subaru from Re;Zero and Male Byleth) throughout Season 1 and proves he is one of my favourites around.
From what I learned watching it, it'll be far more fun to binge watch when Season 2 comes out. I know a bit ahead and have my theory for the petrifaction but man it has such an awesome premise, just pacing has been the issue. And the opening songs are just amazing.

I'm a bit bored and don't have anything better to do so....
Give me anime recommendations.

Only thing off the table is Slice-of-life and sports anime(not a fan) anything else is fair game. Preferably something not too long and also not super dark(something like Death Note for example i'm iffy on for the same personal reasons I mentioned a few days ago)

Here are some my recommendations:

Gankutsuou: it is sci-fi take of "The Count of Monte Cristo". How do I describe the animation? Oh yeah; EVERYTHING IS MADE OUT OF WALLPAPER! If you have seen the cartoon "Chowder", Gankutsuou has a similar animation to that show.

The Irresponsible Captain Tylor: A sci-fi comedy that follows the antics of Tylor and his crew of the space-cruiser Soyokaze as they make out battle after battle with miraculous results which makes the crew wonder if their captain is a tactical genius or a lucky idiot.

I'm betting on time constraints, and because it was a 2016 Wii U game.

Plus, Color Splasj did phone it near the end.

Color Splash does a lot wrong, but I will always stand by the Haunted Hotel and Pirate levels being amazing and near TTYD levels of fun.

I'm basically finished with the Fairy Tail game. I only have one character to unlock, though given that you need to beat him in a fight first and he's at level 90, that might not happen for a while.

Once I'm done that, I'm not sure whether I'll focus on the story mode for Guilty Gear XX, the story mode for Skullgirls, or Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. I figure I should go with something short, rather than playing through a bunch of really long RPGs back-to-back. (Fairy Tail seems pretty short by modern RPG standards, and it's still about 35 or 40 hours long)

EDIT: as it turned out, I managed to unlock the final character, so I'll try to 100% complete the game.

I miss the way they handeled past-gen Legends during the DS era (and even XY). It was an adventure trying to find them, a real quest, but now it's just "Fly on Latios and bump into Cobalion in a cloud" or "Ho-Oh is chillin in a cave under the Crown Tundra like literally every other old legendary".

I feel like ORAS was the start of the problem, but it wasn't at it's worst until USUM. In ORAS it was at least a novel concept, and there were still a few Legendaries with quests attached (Ho-Oh, Lugia, and Heatran, I think). In USUM it was only Zygarde (and that's because it needed to be accessible to advertise the new forms), and it looks like in the Crown Tundra it'll only be the old Regis (so the new Regis having dungeons won't seem weird).

In my opinion, they should cut down so it's only two or three sets of old legendaries, but focus on them, give them some depth.

Seeing what's been datamined in the Crown Tundra, hopefully we see the return of the more lengendary... legendaries. I have faith considering
1. Regi temples return
2. It's structurally episodic
3. The Galarian Birds suggest more importance to them actually doing something

Tbh, I feel like the Crown Tundra is gonna be called what SwSh should have been.
