It's cool and funny as that is, I highly doubt this. The thought someone had this stuff on their computer for years only to dump it now to look like a prophecy is too far fetched.

I'm not saying it was necessarily years, only a little while. Like maybe a few months ago a most. Maybe even just a few days prior to now.

It'd still be a close enough coincidence in either case.

Earthbound 64 would be the holy grail. We know so little about that game, but we do know quite a bit about OoT and SM64 betas.

True, but we know absolutely nothing about Ura Zelda other than it being a N64DD expansion of OOT that would have included new dungeons and new sidequests. We don't have a single photo of what anything in Ura Zelda looked like. Though I will be just as excited for either Earthbound 64, Ura Zelda or both being dumped.

I kinda doubt it's a coincidence. The person probably knew the whole "L is real" thing because.... who doesn't? L is real 2401 is just one of those 'things' you know if you were alive during the N64 days.


It could definitely still be a coincidence, but my money's more on "The person held off on leaking it for a couple days cause haha le epik maymays."

This saddens me so much. Protecting the health of yourself and others shouldn't be something that's Republican, Democrat, Independent or otherwise, it's something that we all should do in the hopes of helping each other through a tough time. Yet so many feel doing something as little as wearing a mask is something that one side is 'forcing' them to do and thus should be fought against. It's truly disappointing, and in a way reflective of just how divided we have made ourselves when we can't come together for one important thing.

I think most (if not all) of this stuff is from the big 2018 leak/hack the original dude got arrested for, with it all being shared with a bunch of different people and so some of these guys are just sitting on stuff until they finally decide to release it to the public :/

I know the rumors of the game being much creepier than the final release are kinda exaggerated, but still. The beta footage did legitimately make it look much creepier than the finalized game. What with those jumpscare ghosts in the hallways, the supposed time limit, the much more reserved, quiet and techno-OST, creepier sound effects in general, and whatever the hell that infamous ghastly Luigi ending screen was all about.

This is a mystery I want solved.

I'm hoping to see some beta Melee content get dumped like some assets to a cut character or two like character select screen renders, models, voice clips, ect. It would be crazy to see this stuff if they went that far before cutting or moving on from said considered characters. It would be crazy to see Mach Rider or Ayumi Tachibana in a earlier build of Melee since they were considered for the Retro slot before Sakurai went with the Ice Climbers.

If I were asking for advice or sound like I'm just hurting myself purposely, then yes, it's absolutely acceptable. But this is the equivalent of telling someone who's swimming to come up for air.

Honestly I'm inclined to believe it's a coincidence just because coincidences are just so dang common. Without going into the math of it, they're basically an inevitability in a lot of cases.

Even if it was released on some other day, I'm sure people would have still found some way to tie the date to 2401 somehow. People are just really good at spotting things like this.

That's one of the things I love about Nintendo is that they truly care about their creations and their fans unlike some companies looking at you Konami.

They care about copyright infringements, cross compatibility, and intellectual property in general. I dunno about the fans, they are a multi billion dollar corporation. I would think they prioritize profits.

Nintendo is very old fashion when it comes to doing business. I should look into the Japanese Bubble Era to see how the crash in the early 90s affected the Japanese business model.

Given we're getting leaked content going all the way back to 1989 and the start of the SNES, it definitely gives me hope that there is still plenty of which we have yet to see. Earthbound 64 seems like the biggest realizable white whale, though I'm kind of waiting to see if we can learn anything from pre-1989 with the NES/GB. The earliest BIG cancelled Nintendo title we know about with in-game pictures was the Donkey Kong music/edutainment game.

Fire Emblem 64 would also be a holy grail. The only known in-game screenshot of the game showed up in the 25th Anniversary artbook with some concept art and dialogue scripts. Developer interviews state that only a few parts, mostly names, carried over to FE6. Interviews from Shouzou Kaga, just before he left IS, also state he was pushing for another Archanea/Marth game. It was first mentioned to be in development by Miyamoto in 1997, announced formally in 1998, and then cancelled in 2000. FE5 was also in the middle of development at the time.

Will also be interesting to see if any of this has an effect on the Japanese prototype collection scene. Granted prototype collectors are generally difficult to deal with already,, but Japanese collectors have openly blocked sales* and blacklisted many preservationists. I know Protodude, in particular, has been blocked multiple times by the Rock Man diehards when attempting to obtain prototypes and development documents for preservation.

*Ex. Flagging Yahoo Japan Auction listings to get things and sellers de-listed.

It's got lots of new Kirby hat designs and a couple of new enemies.

Some aspects of each of the three individual developments carried over into Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and it wasn't until the release of Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition that it was revealed that Kirby's Return to Dream Land was the successor to Kirby GCN. Also, some of the elements, like befriending three enemies at once and stacking with each other, were later used by Kirby Star Allies.
(Kirby GCN was known as Kirby: Legend of the Stars)

Same with the giant Dedede robot who later was in Mass Attack before being in Return to Dreamland.
