Anyone who is expecting even the tiniest Smash news in this direct is an actual fool. The direct announcement says and I quote:

"On 7/20 we'll debut the first #NintendoDirect Mini: Partner Showcase, a series focused on titles from our development & publishing partners. We'll share a few updates on a small group of previously-announced #NintendoSwitch games."

This isn't a 1st Party games direct its a 3rd and 2nd party showcase. Except stuff from Indie developers or 3rd party groups.

-No smash.
-No More Heroes 3 gameplay trailer, release date october
-Shin Megami Tensei V gameplay trailer, release date 2021
-Bayonetta 3 trailer, release summer 2021
-Metroid Prime 4 trailer, release year 2021
-Breath of the Wild 2 gameplay trailer, playable zelda, release date december 2020
Each trailer is about 1:30 to 2 minutes each.
-Just a hunch, but I think we may be getting a quick announcement at the end for future news. No, I don’t think it’s Smash. Personally, I’m thinking it would be an Indie World.

That’s what I was saying earlier, he’s been teasing recently that he knows a lot about the schedule and seem excited for what was coming this year. So I’m sure he’s very perplexed right now. Kinda of fuels the idea of another direct soon.

What makes it confusing is that Nintendo is in one of the countries that was least impacted by Corona, because facemasks and social distancing is already such a huge normalcy over there. No one bats an eye about that in Japan. Hence why they have come through all of this relatively unscathed.

What's Disney even doing in the gaming world right now anyway? Disney Infinity was a huge hit until it crashed and burned. I think they've got a mediocre mobile game right now? They might control the world of cinema, but they've never really had that same level of control in the gaming industry, and unless something changes soon I'm not really worried about them buying game companies out.

I believe they did that Tsum game that was popular with kids, but I’m not sure what else. Their studio is still working iirc.

I’m sure anyone would be unhappy if they and the fanbase they were a part of kept getting ridiculed as a whole over the dumbest stuff (including the very videogame character they want on its own in many cases) alongside misinformed stuff.

For the past two weeks, cases have continued to climb but that’s partially due to the country reopening, schools starting up, etc. And yeah, face masks are a cultural thing. I typically wear a face mask November to March. My wife wears one mostly year round save for like August when it’s super humid and hot. The virus has been bad here but obviously not as bad as other countries. There are a number of theories from facemasks to pre-existing social distancing to even genetics or earlier vaccinations due to Japanese encephalitis. This also includes the Japanese to me more reliable in following social protocol as opposed to “being different.” As my wife put it to me, getting the virus is seen as public shame as it shows you are not serious enough it preventing from catching/spreading it. This stems from the use of facemasks as a precaution of spreading colds and flu. A man who has the flu but doesn’t wear a mask yet still goes out to do errands and to work isn’t doing his best to better society and, therefore, is a bad Japanese.

My father tried to go to my bed to sleep and as such took my wallet which was there and accidentally threw all the money to the floor of my bedroom.

The worst part is he didn't help me at all trying to find them all back and just demanded me constantly to pick specific coins at specific moments because he is a lazy ass.

Now one could argue that It is my fault for putting my wallet on my bed... But even then he shouldn't even be using my bed of all things in the first place.

But I guess I really should just ignore the people who hate on us, as they never listen thanks to misinfo and assumptions based on either not understanding + not caring to understand, not fully reading stuff, the misinfo, a lack of research/checking things and whatever else. Like I guess I can understand why some people may have a problem but it’s literally based on what I see from a small minority at most which I see from their own groups as well.

I went checking a bit ago before the mod intervened and reported a couple posts that were causing trouble/flaming back, while people in the thread just.... attacked, I'm going to assume that they didn't report anything and instead opted to fight.


A little maturity would go a long way for the thread tbh. How many times have people in that thread opted to go for the jugular instead of just... report and move on? This could have been the 3rd or 4th lock in under 2 years had a Mod not stepped in/the person causing trouble hadn't left on their own accord. And let me just say, feeding the trolls does nothing but make more work for the staff to have to clean up and deal with.

I guess some people do tend to act too defensive about things sometimes. I have seen this myself tbh, it usually being a few or so people, or less depending on the exact situation.


Admittedly I’ve had trouble ignoring trolls as well though sometimes I manage to, however tbh this time I did reply to a dude targeting Fatman and acting like we were all blindly following him (which we don’t, we just trust him but don’t believe everything he says to necessarily end up true, but that he and maybe his contacts are being genuine; most of the evidence gathered for Geno isn’t even from him). Tbh I didn’t even think of the dude as a troll. I just wanted people to stop thinking Fatman was a sociopath they need to save us from, and I guess I was a bit on edge when I could’ve been calmer tbh.


I’m just tired of it, man. Yes some users can get too riled up but it feels like a minority, albeit I guess it was more in the past; we’ve gotten better at that it feels like. It’s just tiring to see people bash us and generalize us, including those who do so over dumb stuff, though I guess no one in here does.


And I’m also tired of people accusing Fatman of being a fraud, like I basically said already and talked about in the Geno thread. Y’all don’t have to trust his info or think his speculation makes any sense or like him, but goodness all the evidence points to him not being the serial liar people think he is, and one of the main contributors to that mindset against Fatman (Sabi) has even been outed as the true serial liar, and was by Fatman himself months before the recent document. This hostile stuff people have against him has been going on for over a year, even with trusted people backing him up and other stuff that goes against what they say (like Burb, whom some people expected to take down Fatman, coming to an understanding with him instead).


But I guess I should just stop trying. I never did any good about that in the Newcomer Speculation thread, and was called delusional just for wanting people to be kinder and thinking Cacomallow had even the slightest plausibility left...surprised I wasn’t called delusional earlier than that when I stuck up for Fatman and the rest of the Geno thread. Yes it has issues with trolls and stuff, but still, people don’t deserve what it gets. I guess I should just ignore it though...
