I just want more elements from the classic games to come back. Combos, jumping, multiple different godly weapons with unique abilities for use in puzzle solving, a huge variety of gods and monsters as bosses, quick time events, everything (but with an option in the settings to turn them off if you hate them)! You can still do the big important story and open world. Just make it actually God of War and not Dark Souls with a Kratos skin.
But since everyone seemed to like this despite it being a Nuts and Bolts, DmC, Legend of Spyro, Crash of the Titans type game that ignores the series roots in order to mimic trends in the industry and be temporarily popular; I am not betting on it at all.

Four was just.... it was a journey. I was absolutely hating my time with it at the beginning. I just wasn’t getting anything out of the combat and that made me really bitter and angry. Literally, there was a moment when I was fighting some mooks and I had a full bar of rage saved up. A habit I have from the classic games where I saved them for bosses. And I was in a cramped space and just couldn’t see my opponents. Then Atreus yelled something like “be careful!” or “watch your back!” and I just yelled, in real life and at the top of my lungs, “I shouldn’t have too! I am the GOD OF WAR!” and proceeded to waste my rage on basic draugr. I literally became classic angry Kratos. I was just kind of playing out of obligation after that and was so overjoyed when I saw I could still ride on the back of big enemies and slam into smaller ones. And then I got the blades and oooooh my I was so happy. I only ever used the axe when I was forced to from that point on. And I had an easier time engaging with it because it was closer to what I wanted from a God of War game and I started having some fun. Now contrast that with my experiences with every game before that which was nonstop fun from start to finish and you can see my disappointment. I didn’t touch any of the side quests because I didn’t care And it didn’t look like any fun. I wanted to finish my quest with my son and scatter my wife’s ashes. I don’t care about your hidden treasure and lost friend you insignificant dwarf, stop badgering me about it!
Do you need to buy the expansion to transfer the newly added Pokemon to Sword and Shield? Or was there an update that added the Pokemon in and the expansion just allows you to catch them?

That's good, at least it's not as awful as I thought it would be. I 100% expected Gamefreak to charge people via the expansion for the ability to transfer the Pokemon.

After doing some extensive deep diving into Origami King stuff they've put out
My thoughts went from:
*Tenuous excitement*
to
*Jesus christ not again*
I could tolerate this when Alphadream was still around, because they still made ACTUAL rpgs.... but once more, it seems like random mooks are going to be completely pointless in Origami King. Unless bosses are insanely hard that you'll be forced into farming coins for "Buy time", it's just not looking good...again.... three times in a row.
You don't gain EXP... meaning you don't level up.... meaning you... really don't need to fight enemies... in an RPG.... why....
All enemies do is give you coins... which you use to buy time in enemy battles... but, if enemies give you nothing except coins, which are only needed for fighting enemies..... why should I even fight enemies to begin with?

There may be some hope regarding that: from what I remember watching the more-recent trailer, there is an instance where Mario has 120 HP, another where he has 130, another where he has 125 or 135 or something, and of course other even numbers of 10, so unless there’s a ridiculous amount of HP collectibles, there may be exp and they cut off the end-of-battle screen before we could see it.

Considering we know equipment is back, I'm not holding my breath.
We've already seen after you kill all the enemies in a fight that you get showered with coins, not EXP, so unless EXP works like paint in Color Splash, meaning it spawns AFTER you kill the enemy in the overworld, which seems extremely unlikely... I'm not holding my breath,
I get what you're saying but I can see why they changed the gameplay wanting to take an different approach which I actually liked IMO. Nothing wrong with having an different opinion and taste.

there aren't really any street fighter stages that are an absolute necessity to have, but personally i'd have either suzaku castle, ken and chun-li's stages, air force base, high roller casino or flamenco tavern. at least one of these six
So to pass the time before the ARMS reveal, I made this (inspired by the discussions in the Newcomer thread about the next Smash game possibly being a reboot)...
this is a nice roster, but it's got a few weird omissions like wesker, vergil and asura
i'd also add just one more darkstalkers character. the series has a great cast but it feels like it's almost always just morrigan and felicia with jedah there simply because he's the villain. jon talbain, bb hood, donovan, lord raptor, there's a lot to work with here
it'd also be nice to have a representative for series like power stone and breath of fire
