If you say so. But you are still wrong. Factually. Based off of the actual definition of the term.
Did they or did they not purchase, thus acquiring, the rights to TMNT?

CN still paid money for the rights to total drama, thus acquiring the rights to showcase those cartoons?

Thus, they both fit under the definition of "acquired programming."

The mall shopping bully of a mean girl line is so bad it's good xD

But I still prefer the "lying little [extremely long bleep]"
same. The swearing was absolutely hilarious
My point is that those two were acquired programming, just like TMNT.

I'm done talking about this anyway.
acquired programming is still short term, TMNT ain't that since Viacom owns it...making it fully original since 2011.
Dude, Nickelodeon has been a topic for three days. Get some sleep.
Nickelodeon never sleeps and neither shall any of us
Speaking of which, anyone remember Kappa Mikey?
I liked the show
Gotta be honest no.

Heck, I didn't even know that it even existed until years after the show's cancellation.

Now, speaking of Nick, what in the world happened to Nicktoons?
It's still on tv, but...idk how to describe it much tbh it's just there to show off the Rise of the TMNT and old Nick shows at this point...poor ROTTMNT

...still no...cause as has been said Total Drama has to have a renewed deal to stay on Cartoon Network until that deal expires, while Nick doesn't have to deal with that for TMNT like they would with Power Rangers
you'll see what is considered original programing, and what is considered to be acquired programming
Btw my sig is cool and good.
so is your avatar

Acquired programming means that a network aquired the rights to brodcast a show, but they don't own it. An example of this Power Rangers, Nick doesn't own the franchise, but they can air the show.

Since Nick owns TMNT, however, they moved past acquired and now are Nick Originals. Rise of TMNT isn't an acquired show; it's an original Nicktoon. This will also be the case for Garfield.

tfw you just need Zamazenta for the PokéDex but all the trades on the GTS request either:

1. A ‘mon you love too much to give up.

2. An impossible to acquire ‘mon (level 1 legendary/rare ‘mon trololo)

or

3. Both.

Which reminds me: Garfield is one if those things that just work better in an animated format, which is odd because I don't think any other comic strip has that issue. Peanuts work perfectly in both formats, no format having clear advantage over the other, but Garfield's animated antics are straight upgrades to the comics.

I just watched the first episodes of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Neon Genesis Evangelion, since I wanted to try mecha anime and I know those are two famous examples. (the only other one that I'm aware of is Gundam, but Canadian Netflix doesn't have much in the way of options and I don't know what the best starting point is)
Gundam has a lot of range, there are multiple series with different tones and purposes. So it really depends on what you're looking for, but the key part is to not judge all of Gundam based on an individual series. There's not necessarily a best starting point because of that. If you wanna see what's up with the Universal Century timeline (Original/Zeta/ZZ/Unicorn), I'd recommend tracking down the Mobile Suit Gundam Movie Trilogy and watching those. It's basically a "DBZ Kai" of the original series, with filler cut out and some added/improved animation in the later section. It's only in Japanese though.
I don't like Gundam Wing, and I do like G Gundam but it's definitely pretty campy. Fun series imo.

I need Zamazenta as well, and I'm lucky to have an extra Type:Null thanks to SuMo, but geez are some of these trades ridiculous.

Doesn't help that Zamazenta is the most popular mon in the GTS

Not the strip, but there is one specific Dilbert character, Loud Howard, who got to show up much more in the animated series because it was easier to show off how loud he was.

Regarding the turtles in that kart game, there's two important factors to consider.

1) It'd be weird to have one turtle without the other.
2) They can reuse the same model for all three, making it easy to add all them.

No. Because they just bought the rights to broadcast total drama. Nickelodeon bought everything about the turtles. Rereleases of the old comics, cartoons, and even the Arcade 1-Up cabinet have their logo on them. Not the case with total drama. If you look in the copyright database the entire franchise is trademarked to CBSViacom. Not the case with Total Drama. Describing TMNT as “acquired programming” is inaccurate. In fact the term “acquired programming” is actually kind of outdated now.

There’s still some proportional and cosmetic differences between the 4 in the 2012 iteration, some more subtle than others.
View attachment 274704
Huh, I'm admittedly not a TMNT fsn so I didn't notice.

That said they still look similar enough that you could probably still use the same model as a base and tweek it, but I'm not a modeler so I don't know how much work that'd actually save.

Found this new anime called Kakegurui.
For those who don’t know, it’s about a school with a hierarchy based upon your skill in gambling. This new girl happens to be an expert at gambling and so far has kicked everyone’s butt at it.
This is 100% the only Netflix Original anime I’m willing to watch.

I always liked that about the 2012 version, it gave them more character.

Speaking of which, anyone remember Kappa Mikey?
That was one of my favorite Nick shows growing up. I always thought it was a pretty creative idea to portray westerners as stock american/Canadian cartoons while the native Japanese are portrayed as stock anime characters, it's definitely a weird aesthetic I wish we'd see more of

So far it’s good. Although how you handle the modern CN shows will make or break it.
I wonder what Butch Hartman is doing now.

Because I haven't seen him brought up aside from people clowing on him.
He’s busy claiming that he and his wife have used religion to cure autism

Man nearly has 1 million subs, yet struggles to hit 50k in views per vid.

Wait, what?
Yup. I don’t know exactly what context it was in. But I do know that he actually said that and there’s video of him saying it and it’s also on the webpage of one of his companies.

Butch is a legitimately horrible man. Look into it. It’s all over the internet.

I knew he was bad, but I didn't think it was to this extent.

Btw, I did search it up in between posts. Yeah, that was a total yikes moment and somehow didn't really surprise me.

I'm assuming he said this as a joke because without the proper context that's pretty much how it comes across. lol

Some people genuinely think their religion can "cure" anything, autism included.

Its sad and claiming those things can sometimes make things harder for people suffering from those issues, but I don't think people are really "horrible" for thinking those things. Just ignorant and maybe self-delusional.

Never forget Hanlon's razor.
