I think the biggest concern here is that turtles aren't really a Nicktoon. Yeah, they own the IP, but it's not a Nick show and it really shows. Same with that brief time they had Power Rangers, same with the Rabbids, same with all the Dreamworks shows - they aren't Nicktoons, they're 'toons ON Nick.
if we only focused on TMNT from 1984-2010 the that would work, but everything from 2011-now is definitely fully Nickelodeon
I agree with the one villain thing, but I just wish it wasn’t shredder. Just me tho, don’t read into that and don’t argue against it pls
Anyways, I agree with rugrats, I just don’t see why they have four characters. Not to pull the spongebob card again, but that’s literally the amount of character that spongebob has.
but whatever
and they could 100% do a spongebob crossover with anything, except it’s too cartoony. Nick wants ninja turtles to be realistic and feel like it’s in some dark superhero world. That’s how they can crossover with batman or ghostbusters. Spongebob, well, isn’t exactly the same. May not be the reason and I may be wrong

But more than Spongebob doesn’t make sense. Unless they’re trying to promote that newish tmnt iteration of there’s (which i don’t think they’re doing since they used the 2012 iterations) then i don’t see why they would have more tmnt than spongebob. Yes, they’re really close with profit, but spongebob is something everybody knows. It’s still running to this day (same series since it started, something tmnt can’t say) and is basically the face of nick at this point. I may be wrong tho

sooo are we good?
when it comes to those Turtles, Nickelodeon definitely goes for an inbetween approach (like how NickTurtles could casually get away with sex jokes and murder one moment, but then have larping and acne episodes another moment). Same with the comics, but that’s to be expected. Movies...other than their Batman movie...got nothing for those BayTurtles, but the Half-Shell Heroes was mainly comical.

also I like to think of Spongebob as the Mario of Nick, while TMNT is their Pokémon...if that works enough
So like, this is pretty appropriate to the Nick discussion right now, but I just found out that Spongbob's canonically asexual thanks to a twitter trend revolving around this tweet:

Also, Happy Pride Month!
been known since 2004, but its kinda weird how Nick never really did much about that during Pride Month in the past...more importantly MORE KORRA

That still makes it aquired programming though. It's like including Johnny Test or Total Drama characters in a Cartoon Network game

Someone sent me a Gigalith over surprise trade, so I'm now 32 Pokemon away from completing the Galar Dex.

Aside from Rotom, everything left has to be done by trading.

Here's hoping Surprise Trade cooperates.

If they're going to do it, now's the time.
Of course, you have the Sony fanboys who get mad that they're losing an exclusive, but that's not a bad thing. Half of all PS4 owners just use it to play CoD and sports games anyway.
The fact is so true it hurts. Most people only buy a PS4 for insert one or two shooters, sports game and to watch Netflix unfortunately.

Like honestly try a few games outside of that I say.
Look at the 50 best selling games and take out the shooter and sports and roll a randomizer. You get three games and go with it.

Boom. You get Horizon Zero Dawn, Persona 5 Royal and Bloodborne for example. A great combo with three great games. Then you git gud.

It annoys me a little when people don't try more games, especially if it's your favourite medium.

Nothing wrong with getting an entire console for just a couple of games.

You guys do know how many people buy a Switch solely for Smash and Mario Kart, right?
Still doesn't hurt to try more.

Then again this is saying from the person who has 33 physical copies and counting.

Ok, so after a bit of digging around, it turns out there were in game trades for both Togepi and Throh, so I'm happy on that regard.

In addition to Gigalith, I also got a Rotom through Surprise Trade, so i think the only non version exclusive left is Rhyperior? Either way, I'm under 30 Mons left.
Edit: Just got a Gourgiest. 372/400 mons registered.
Edit 2: Got a Turtonator as well.

Thing is...it actually doesn’t. While Total Drama and Johnny Test are shows that air on Cartoon Network, they aren’t made by them (well Johnny was done by WB, but then they ditched the show while Cookie Jar took over). Neither show were originally Cartoon Network shows, but they just so happened to end up going there in the long run for the US, Hell JT is moving on to Netflix now. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was straight up bought out by Viacom to become a fully fledged Nickelodeon property. Every single thing that is done with them is 3000% done by Nickelodeon. Compared to the Power Rangers and Rabbids, there is no limited deals going on with them. TMNT 2012 and onwards are exclusive to Viacom, as is the entire franchise for that matter. If they wanted, Total Drama could move on to a different channel in the US, while those Turtles can’t...because it is 100% produced and owned by Nick. Only things that they don’t have a hold on are the 87 series and 90s movies, but the rest is fully Nickelodeon. Same would apply with Marvel and DC shows, as future everythings would be fully owned by Disney and AT&T. So in a nutshell, TMNT is fully a permanent Nickelodeon property and family member, making a crossover such as Kart Racers or any of their mobile/website games perfectly normal (or you could just go to their wiki stuff and see how TMNT is not under the acquired programming section)

....

Cartoon Network doesn't own Total Drama.

Acquired programing is a program the company simply owns the broadcasting rights. They don't put up money in it's creation and they don't own the intellectual property. If both of those items don't apply at the same time, it's not acquired programming.

Speaking of Total Drama, the original Teletoon cut is so much better than the CN version. My gosh. It's like 4kids censoring got all up in the show's crib.

I can't wait to actually play Persona 4. I watched the anime and loved it, imma get it on Steam at the earliest possible opportunity.

watch it be dumped on switch the moment I buy it on steam

My boy Danny Phantom is there
This is a REALLY late response but I don't care, I'm buying this game I don't care if it's bad, my favorite Nick shows are repped.

I think it shows that I'm an old man when I don't recognize the modern characters, but seeing Danny gets me kinda hyped lol

I don't remember exactly what made me buy a Switch. But I don't regret it at all, as I did the Wii U.

Well, in terms of buying it early that is.

I bought a PS4 for Crash Bandicoot

ended up exploring other games
I bought my PS4 just to play all the Kingdom hearts games, and then the day I got it was also the day I got Yakuza Kiwami and Persona 5 because I had some extra money on me.

Funny how that worked out for me.

I bought a PS4 for Final Fantasy XV, Gravity Rush 2 and Infamous Second Son.

I bought a Switch for Xenoblade 2 and Splatoon 2.

And now I've got about 170 games between them and I still get bored.

And I only regret getting about 10 games between both amazingly.

there’s a lot of things which nintendo could’ve done but didn’t. maybe they didn’t add garfield since there’s already a garfield kart racing game on switch?
edit: if i say nintendo one more time i’m going back to bed

Iconic or not, nobody was begging to play as giant metal suit man. He’s just, nothing special.

Umbrella term. She’s still only, like, 3 years old.

anyways i really don’t want to start arguing over smth like nick so uhh
i still respect your opinions?
I can't believe I'm seeing Shredder slander in the thread today. That's wild.

Between the Switch and the PS4 the only game I ha e that I regret buying is Final fantasy the Zodiac Age. I only bought it because it was really cheap at Wal-Mart and at the time I barely had any games on my Ps4, I was not able to get into it at all.
