You want to know a fun Mortal Kombat fact?

There is one fighter that has only been playable on Nintendo consoles: Khameleon in the Nintendo 64 version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy and the Wii version of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

Wouldn't it be funny, if we got an MK fighter, that instead of Scorpion or Sub, it would be Chameleon so that we could tap into all of the iconic moves for each ninja?

How about Triborg for Scorpion/Sub-Zero/Reptile, where you select Mortal Kombatant on the character select screen, then select if you want Scorpion/Sub-Zero/Reptile's specials. Colors, character name, and entrance/taunt/victory animations are changed to match.

God, I miss pre new super Mario bros Wii era Mario. There's was always something creative and new around the corner and we were introduced to some of the more memorable Mario characters and plots.

And now both Mario and Sonic seem to suffer from the same idea of "Just the marketable mascots" with no variety inbetween.

...I dunno, I feel like Miyamoto has loosened a bit up on letting Mario run a little wild recently.

I just woke up from a nightmare and I need to talk about it!

It started with an interview from Miyamoto, and when asked about Mario Kart 9 he said he was "disheartened" with the way the franchise was going. He said he had two visions for what he wanted the game to be, but the company wanted something else.

The game was later revealed as "Mario Kart: Island Tour" and was a watered down nightmare of a Mario Kart game, with track design that was 90% gliding and underwater, and the game filled with gimmicks designed to make the experience as brain-dead as possible, sucking out everything enjoyable about the series.

I remember there was a cinematic trailer showing the Mario Kart cast going on a trip to island, and the characters had beach outfits on. Inkling was there too, and had a different appearance as well.

So that's about all I'll say for now, I'm struggling to remember details. Reading this now, it looks like it could pass off as a fake leak actually! So what do you guys think of all this?
"a watered down nightmare of a Mario Kart game" "and the game filled with gimmicks designed to make the experience as brain-dead as possible, sucking out everything enjoyable about the series."

That's just Mario Kart 8.

You know what would be fun? An HD remake collection of the Game and Watch Gallery series. You have the original game and watch titles featuring :ultgnw:, and 2.5D remakes using Nintendo characters like the original Game and Watch Gallery games.

And a Midway Arcade collection. Desperate idea from these game and watch remakes. I just want a collection of classic Midway/Bally/Atari (which have all been consolidated into the Midway brand by WB) Arcade and console games on Switch.

sometimes I think about how nintendo thought putting a post limit on Miiverse was a good idea. It was almost 5 years ago, and I still don't get it.

Has anyone played the game Nioh? I'm thinking of getting it. Is it like Dark Souls? No spoilers please.

Now I remembered why I've never been able to hate on Mario kart Wii as much as others do.

The tracks introduced in this game are some of my favorites.

Mario Kart Wii was my jam!

It had some absolutely killer tracks. Mushroom Gorge, Coconut Mall, Maple Treeway, Wario's Goldmine, Moonview Highway. All top notch

And of course you can't forget the best character inclusion in Mario Kart history
Funky_Kong_MKW_Artwork.png

On the topic of Funky, Funky Stadium was also quite the battle track.

My goodness, I'm just feeling so nostalgic spewing all this nonsense

Hey guys, I'm back from my hike at the border. How are things?

Also of all the friendships I've seen so far I like Nightwolf's the best.

Is it just me, or has Mario Kart never been one for fanservace. Like, so many tracks are just original ideas and a lot of iconic areas from Mario and it’s sub-series remain unexplored

Was looking through the Shared Content section of Smash.

Saw a good number of replays with people playing as Giga Bowser.
I saw a lot of screenshots of ppl playing on the results screen, home run stage and final battle stage

HAAAAAAAX!

I could never get into MKW. I don't know why, but the physics just feel a little off to me. Though it has the best roster in the series, as well as some amazing tracks, just a shame I never found it to be much fun. I really wanted to like it, too.

Guess I'll go play lots of Smash online matches to complete the online section of the challenge board (the only thing left in the game for me to 100% this game and will do so without using any Golden Hammers)

On another note. Just over one more week until RoboCop, Sheeva, Fujin, stage fatalities and friendships releases!

And maybe potentially Kombat Pack 2.

Kinda? The SNES Mario Kart were all locations from Mario world, but after that, the callbacks became more sporadic.

I can only remember a few: Tick Tock Clock, DK Jungle, the Dry Dry Desert/Ruins and Piranha Plant Slide are the only ones that comes to mind that are based on Mario Locations.

Kinda one of the things I like about it, as much as I do like the tracks adapted from those games, I like that they don’t have to feel limited to the main series and just let loose and get creative with the tracks and I feel like it adds a lot more to the series.

Mario Kart Wii wasn't too bad but I thought the item balancing was among the worst in the series.

Maybe. But I kind of feel like a game like this should be filled with fanservace above else.

Why do people forget Mario Kart DS?

That game had mission mode! And the mind blowing feature known as online play! On a handheld! In 2005! And R.O.B!

And shout out to the Japanese commercial.

Mario kart DS and Pokemon mystery dungeon were the only games I had for my DS back in the day until like, September of that year when I got Pokemon Diamond. (I got my DS in December of 06 to show how long that gap of time was)

I played Mario Kart DS endlessly back then, it was one of the few DS games I actually played multiplayer in, since I grew up in a place where nobody played Pokemon.

Actually got my DS 15 years ago this week. I only remember that because of old camcorder showed me playing it. Super Mario 64 DS and Wario Ware Touched what I got with it.
Seriously the DS blew my mind for games. Probably the most important piece of gaming for me.
