Apparently, Thy Flesh Consumed is a massive leap up in difficulty from the rest of the game. I stopped after Episode 3 - I figured that the credits rolled and we got "The End", so that's enough for me. (plus, I wanted to play through Doom 2 rather than struggling on a bonus chapter)

Actually, when they splat they juice is purple.
