On Tadano: WAY more likable than that scrub Resasuke. :rolleyes: He actually took time away from himself to spend with her and was more considerate of her needs. I like Tadano's personality, but him and Retsuko not working out is for the best for both of them. They have fundamentally different worldviews.

I was honestly hoping it ended with Heida gettig Retsuko but I guess that season ending is fine too

They're building up her character development and Haida's character development builds up slowly and carefully like it has been...to be honest I think it will happen.

Because DQ8 is my childhood game and I waited a good chunk of time to see Eight in Smash.

The fact Munchy came with him was the cherry on the top.

Banjo-Tooie was a huge disappointment for me.

How do you follow up one of the greatest games ever made? Rare's answer to that was "make a tedious game".

The tediousness of Banjo-Tooie is really it's biggest flaw, huge levels without a major landmark, and what feels like a lot of empty space. The amount of backtracking required for certain Jiggies. In the end it feels like you have to spend five hours doing a task just to get part of a Jiggy, making completing the game an absolute nightmare.

Contrast this to Banjo-Kazooie. Every millimetre of the world is covered in things to collect, whether it be Notes, Jinjo's, or Jiggies. The worlds are also smaller, with important landmarks giving you an idea of where you currently are. The world are also self contained, with the only time you need to backtrack being getting the Turbo Trainers to beat the rematch against Boggy. There's not a single second of your time wasted as you explore the worlds that are jam packed with collectables.

Banjo-Tooie is an example of how bigger isn't always better, as in this case it created a tedious game that fails to live up to the original.

I actually prefer Tooie over the original (How could I, I know)

I usually don't mind backtracking in video games with new abilities you've aquired. Heck, backtracking is what metroidvania games essentially are. Super Metroid and SotN are among my favorite games of all time despite the backtracking. Tooie felt less linear to me which I enjoyed.

Though there's one major thing I hold against Tooie and that's that last freakin' Jiggy and Cheato page you need to get from Canary Mary in Cloud Cuckoo Land.

I don't think that name is explained very clearly compared to the others, but it is an ironic name when he fights with a party. The female alt is also named Sofia, so there's a slight difference.
