My mother spent 100 euros on panic buying, though she's actually at risk so eh, but I feel so bad seeing how it is everywhere else as I went to the store earlier and everything was fine except the bread aisle

Its abosulutely crazy how much people are in panic that they are desperate to stock up in case the situation worsens. There is barely any bread left within any of the supermarkets I go around within my area.

I think most people are just too conclusion jumping (or stupid) to not take it one step at a time.

Do I think it's going to get worse? I guess.

If people were just calm about it, that'd be nice. I think there will be a lockdown on the mainland UK (Northern Ireland's complicated) but honestly before it even begins I'm tired already.
People; it is not the end times. That's about a billion years from now if you're a lifeform. 7-8 billion is you are this ball of rock we are on.

Here in Gran Canaria a lot of toilet paper is getting sold out at supermarkets each day, with my father claiming that the lines of people waiting to pay for their purchases are something he hasn't seen in his life before.

That being said, the spanish goverment is claiming that they are guaranteeing constant restock of all supplies as long as the shutdown is going.

Same with the UK and I believe the government's in this one honestly. The only real worry is whether it could lead to riots but as seen in Italy and a few places, I think we could be sort of ok in that.

I feel like people are blowing this coronavirus out of proportion (it seems like there's something like this every couple of years - SARS, swine flu, and avian flu all come to mind, and even as far back as post-World War 1 with the Spanish Influenza (NOBODY expects the Spanish Influenza!)), but my town hasn't gotten too crazy when it comes to buying stuff - I went to the grocery store, and it seemed like the main things that were sold out were toilet paper and bread.

From what little I've seen about it on the news, it seems like Canadian researchers have isolated the virus and Dutch researchers have found an antibody, so there's definitely big steps being made towards figuring out how to handle it.

And I found some actual proper character bases to edit. I'd post the original pictures, but some of them are nude bases to work with too, so eh. Barbie Doll anatomy, but still.

This means I should be able to easily do the Power Rangers Triforce. I just need a theme/framework of what to make it like beyond the Triforce belts(though I might update those to have one slightly more colored over the other two. Somewhat easy, since the six are Din, Farore, Nayru, Zelda, Link, and Ganondorf respectively. Just gotta figure out a particular color for the pieces...)

This is what I fixed up(the legs are now the same on the right side of the picture) but otherwise, done by Ameyal. I only used this part of the various bases.

My country recently got 111 cases now, with 8 deaths. Even so, the healthcare services are doing just fine.

My parents simply shrug it off as a simple flu that can be cured, but we all know that isn't the case....

Y'know, I was planning to attend mass today but due to the virus we might wanna watch it on TV instead.

Honestly, I'm starting to disdain memers here. If you're taking something like this as lightly as possible by inducing humor, then it ain't gonna work. This is a real bad situation with lives at risk, and all they do is make internet memes to profit.

I'm being nitpicky I know, but I wouldn't put the Coronavirus in the same league as the Spanish Flu. The latter is what people fear the former would be because it was a pandemic that actually had a relatively higher mortality rate compared to its counterparts, spread fast, and killed more people within an age group that usually would shrug it off (the young and healthy). If a similar thing to that came back then the precautions would actually be somewhat justified because you do not want that disease to get a foothold in today's population.

Read a bit into the UK's response and the mentality of herd immunity and planning trapping over 70s in strict isolation (my grandparents included) for a long time is a bit scary, along with turning hotels into hospitals.

People who are actually prone to the virus like your mother are at least justified in wanting to avoid interaction with the outside world as much as possible. I know for a fact the majority of the people who are responsible for me not being able to fry up some nice ass chicken this weekend are not in fact prone and are just being hysterical. I certainly prefer hysteria over people spreading the virus to their vulnerable loved ones, but come on, the supermarket isn't going anywhere. You don't have to act like you'll die if you go outside, just act with caution out in public. Wash your hands and don't touch your face so you don't carry the virus with you back home. That's it.

Plenty of people use humor for that very reason. Also just because someone jokes about something doesn’t mean they don’t take things seriously. You can see joke and see the serious in something without undermining it.

Also no one gave a **** when WW3 was being memed to hell and back so why is it different here, when a war if it actually happened would have been even worse then this scenario.
