Well guys they say laughter is the best medicine when the world is ****ing up.

Sadly I'm a bit of joke myself.


I can't think of anything funny except for one thing but I can only do on St Patrick's Day.

Honestly, social links aren't as important here as they are for 5. In 5, every social link gives you additional skills and buffs that can be applied everywhere. In 4, only your party members get additional battle skills if you boost their link, and the other non-party-member social links just buff personas when you summon them.

Like you can just skip some if you don't wanna bother, which is what I did for the Hermit and Empress arcanas because they require more effort than the "just hang out with your friends for a day" method.

Tl;dr: Prioritize your party members.

That's good to know. It seems like they're introducing stat-related social links much quicker than in Persona 5 (I can't make any progress with Dojima because my Eloquence stat needs to be higher, but I'm not sure whether it's currently at level 1 or 2 - I had similar troubles with Haru and Makoto in P5, but that was MUCH later in the game), so I was a little concerned.

I think some characters have the whole "you need to be this cool to hang with me" requirement. Like for Nanako, you're gonna need to boost your Expression stat in the middle of her social link if you wanna progress. You can check what rank you are on the pause screen, and there are 5 ranks in total. Thankfully, you got the school year ahead of you to do stuff like that.

Also Rise doesn't gain any cool skills if you rank her up, so don't bother unless you like her or really like Lovers persona.

I think that was a hoax which is honestly just as bad, they copped a genral ban from all CEO events alongside some other **** at least.

A few months ago I had strongly stated that I would not pay a dime to Nintendo just for being able to play online. Obviously with what has transpired over the last few weeks and the likelihood of confinement to homes/apartments for weeks because of the pandemic that has gone out the window. I've been loading up on games to play to prepare for a likely lengthy confinement (No, I don't have COVID19, I'm trying to minimize any and all outside contact in order to keep it that way..along with washing hands regularly, which is what we all should be doing anyways, pandemic or not). I pre ordered New Horizons, got Mega Man 11, Captain Toad, Overwatch, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Maker 2, and Samurai Shodown, along with what I've already got (Smash Ultimate, Mortal Kombat 11, CTR Nitro Fueled, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.)

Rise is like this game's Futaba, right? (I'm trying to go in blind, but I know she joins the party at some point, and she's not playable in BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle) If so, that's a shame - Futaba's ability to save party members from instant death was the main reason why I beat Persona 5's final boss. (I was one attack away from beating it when it used an attack that, if not for Futaba's intervention, would have killed my entire party)

Yeah she's the support. She actually gets skills in Golden, but not in OG.

I think if you get her to rank 10, she figures out enemy elemental strengths and weaknesses for you. Not as useful as the skills your other party members will get, though.

Sounds good! I'm fairly early on in the game (Kanji's just been introduced, and I think I'm about to start his dungeon), so I feel like it will be a while before I meet Rise.
