Well, the difference here is that the jump from Middle School to High School(for me at least) went from "terrible I hate this get me out" to "Yes I want to stay best school I've ever seen"

I will always advocate for Project Based Learning over traditional teaching methods, it just simply teaches more broad skills than "how to follow orders so that when you get a factory job you aren't total garbage"

The one thing I enjoy the most about OIA, though, is how liberal it is. We literally have 2 lines of a "dress code" and as far as I'm aware we have:

at least 1 openly LGBT person(I never really got to know them, because they were a senior when I was a freshman, but I know who they are, and given a picture could remember. I never really talked to them though)

at least 1 Furry(I suspect we have a few more, but I know we have at least 1)

a few open Atheists(me included, I don't know the exact number)

Also, you can bring in your own crap, like say a personal computer, your own switch, a entire ****ing Xbox, and most teachers won't bat an eye(just don't play games when certain teachers are watching, your mileage will vary because a few teachers are very strict when it comes to being off-task, but most don't really give a **** as long as you're doing your work)

Hell, we even have a ****-ton of MTG players here, and an entire MTG club. Truth be told, if I didn't go here, well I wouldn't be the TCG nerd I am today, that's for sure.

In all honesty, I think I dodged a bullet when I chose to go to OIA instead of the high school I was going to go; it's humongous and there are just thousands of people everywhere at the high school I was going to go to(mostly with a thick country accent and are devout christians, something I don't particularly want to associate myself with, hell even my church's pastor works there) and all the classes look very boring. At least in OIA's math class we can get up and move around, and most classes at least do something interesting once in awhile besides the obligatory boring set-up work, I don't think I could manage myself well at that school at all even if I wanted to.

I kinda went on a bit of a rant at the end, but basically I love OIA simply because of how...unique it is. This school existing has been a literal life-saver more often than not, and I'm grateful for the people who are trying to make it work(the school is literally 6 years old, barely a blip in the grand scheme of things.)
I see. I didn't know what OIA is, so thanks for explaining it.

trust me, googling the name won't bring up anything meaningful, I learned most of this IRL.

Owensboro Innovation Academy is the name, for those curious.

College is what you make it. If you just spend all of it inside your room, you're getting nothing out of it. You'll be a depressed sack of lard and then question how other people are enjoying themselves when the answer's in front of you. (That was sophomore year for me after I transferred colleges.) If you go out, meet new people, ask questions, develop yourself, join an org, all of that.

If you just try every day, it can go a long way.
College was **** and all I got was a paper that is useless

Ok you have Celeste, Astral Chain and Xenoblade 2 so that's good enough.

I would throw in Bayonetta 1+2 and Civilisation VI for Switch and you're list is perfect in my view.

I hope so cause high school ****ing sucked for me lol
Can agree with this. Still sucks even when you're a senior, since it feels like being stuck in a queue before you get to the good part of life, when you actually leave. Too bad I'm still stuck in that queue with only a couple of months left before I leave.

I would suggest Ultimate Alliance 3 if you really like Marvel stuff and you don't mind some challenge in your games.

One of my favourite games of all time.
Pretty much agree on that. Black 2 was the closest to the level of entertaining after.

Funny how you mentioned that game. It's one of my things I'm going to go through when the world is shutting. Play through this and watch My Hero Academia.

What was your plan for college? The goal is to learn and prepare for life outside of college, so if all you did was learn how to study, you didn't use it effectively.
That Was my goal. I didnt spend 5 years of stress in college to just ****ig learn to study

Yeah.

Would be cool to have some Smash battles with the people on the thread.
I might consider that actually today. Still yet to watch one of the Made in Abyss films tonight so come back to me on that in a few hours JD and anyone else who wants to.

I'd rather use Direct Messages to send my Nintendo ID though. So message me in a few hours.

Plus it would be cool for other games.

Sorry, screwed up in rules. I’m making a new one now since I can’t change the number of people allowed
It's alright.

This is actually really fun. Knowing the people in a thread and who they play is one thing, seeing how they play them is another

I want to go out of the arena for a moment to do a Mii Fighter idea I just came up with.

Don't worry, I'll try to return quickly.

I’m gonna close it now.
Sorry if you were planning on coming back, but I’m the only one left right now so it wouldn’t be much fun anyways.
But that was fun! Thanks for joining it!
