Alright, so, Veran just closed out a set against Myran be bairing Olimar at like 70% midstage town and city with deep breathing WFT. Aside from that, just throughout WFT was repeatedly racking up massive damage with a few hits because of deep breathing. It was a joy to watch.

Anchiem is fine but the song didn't personally resonate with me much while playing.

Maybe I'll be singing a different tune once I listen to the soundtrack on its own, though.

The Plot is simple. Nitros Oxide was aproached by the Demon Calypso after his defeat in the end of CTR. Together the two use powerfl techno-sorcery to merge fragments of many universes into one mega-construct filled with racetracks. Then champions from the various worlds were summoned and forced by the duo to race for the fate of their universe. The winner's world is spared, the looser's will all be iradicated. The CTR style Adventre Mode features the "cannon" plotline, whereas playing arcade mode with each character yeilds a character specific "what-if" ending.

Gameplay is similar to Crash Team Racing but with the Transform mechanic from Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed. I haven't decied on the items because that's too far into the weeds for one Snake on a Saturday Night. Each character has a selection of multiple different karts unique to them, which can have their wheels, paint jobs, and stickers customized by the player. The game will feature CTR's Pit Stop Shop, only without the rotation gimmick. Instead all available items will be listed under different tabs.

And Roy was well liked, especially at the time. Still, I think it was because Melee was the first time any Fire Emblem characters (in this case, Roy and Marth) were in a Smash Bros. game. There weren't many Fire Emblem characters for fans to complain about there being too many Fire Emblem characters in the Smash Bros. series.

Considering the state of today's Smash fandom, it's a surprise that there weren't riots over Melee having two FE reps but only one from DK/Metroid/Kirby.

Yeah, I must say, it is kinda weird that they didn't do such fussing over that compared to the other series you mentioned. Though I honestly did not see much of that back then. Then again, I did not see much discussion on it before the game came out.

Honestly, back in the Melee days, despite not knowing who Marth and Roy were, they seemed interesting enough to try them out, specially Roy. In Brawl, I liked Ike, and I think I would have had enough with those 3.

I mean, which series doesn't have at least one overrated character? Though I didn't know Roy was hated in the FE fandom, I thought that was Corrin.

I'm not entirely sure if the fandom "hates" Roy per se, but he's a terrible unit in his own game and his character isn't very interesting.

Because we never got his game and saw how much a weakling he is.

All we ever saw from was a hotheaded red haired cool looking anime boy and that's good enough for 8 year old me.

Yeah, I do agree with people who say Mordecai is the bigger simp.

Though I'd personally argue Rigby by EoS has accomplished more than Jake to be more of a King than him. And while Jake was a Chad in the fact he scored right away with Lady Rainicorn and could play a viola (I believe), Rigby literally was such a player that he got Mordecai's crush to crush on him, then went out with her on a date just to ****ing spite the dude. I mean, **** move, but total Chad play right there. He also was the one Eileen had the hots for and he did reject her a bunch at first. Oh, and if I recall, he can also play an instrument in a band, so overall he's basically Jake but with more Chad energy IMO

Hot take: if everyone on earth spontaneously changed sex, more non-trans people then would admit it would be completely fine. Not a majority, just more then would admit it.

I shouldn’t be allowed to be on the internet at midnight.
