I've heard people say it was "straight from Nintendo's api" or whatever, but I need confirmation on that

but it would make sense since they were promoted as releasing on the 29th in places like Europe and Japan

I'm guessing the update won't happen until this evening - like around 5 to 7 pm, eastern time. I know that some regions gave the release date as the 29th rather than the 28th, and I think a lot of the character updates weren't until later in the day.

Bank was overpriced as it was. Pokémon data is incredibly small in the grand scheme of things. Google literally gives out enough free storage to each account so they could hold all the data Bank makes you pay for, and then some.

Just because something can be monetized doesn't mean it should.

Yeah, I'm certainly not disagreeing, but it is what is TBH. (EDIT: Scratch that, after doing research, I do disagree about them just eating the cost) Just gotta vote with your wallet. I'd only pay for the 2-month price once if I have to to transfer my Pokemon from Moon, otherwise I'll just use the free model GTS and transferring stuff.

They're a company, and they're gonna charge for something if they can. If the market bears it, they'll do it.
