I really hope we get a new Metroid game. It's a real shame that Other M made Nintendo put the series in back burner (my theory at least). I've recently been playing 2D Samus games and man are they fun.

There's really only five Nintendo fan groups who are being loud about the lack of a General Direct right now:

1. Smash fans who are still salty about Byleth and want to see FP6.
2. Smash fans who are just genuinely excited more characters are coming and would like to see FP6 ASAP before buying the new pass.
3. People who don't care about Smash and want to hear news about other Nintendo games.
4. Same as 3, but are people who don't care that a Pokemon Direct happened because they don't care about Pokemon.
5. Arlo just wants to see Pikmin 4, man.

My bet is next Direct.

With the Pokémon and Smash news already being shared for a good while, I feel It Will finally be time to share updates on games currently in development.

And Bayonetta 3 could possibly get news on the next Direct (or at least I would love so).

Maybe but I would understand if they wanted to bank on Prime games because those are pretty popular now I believe. But if they do make more 2D games, I'm worried they'll turn out like the last latest one, Samus Returns, which was a weird 360 aiming almost shoot em up thing with not a lot of what made Return of Samus so unique.

One good thing about living quite literally on the border of your state is that the super radical type don’t really appear that often. Owensboro even has a few schools that aren’t religious in the slightest, and are actually really good schools(cough OIA, aka Owensboro Innovation Academy)
Also the fact that the city is super small means that travel between two locations isn’t super hard; especially for bikes or on foot.

I live near the border with the Republic (There about three/four key mid size towns in different parts west and south) but it is pretty understandable.
My experience with the Bible Belt had been in a few towns around Northern Florida and Southern Georgia and once the western part of the Carolinas.
Feel like the cities are too car reliant in my experience. Prefer British towns in that.

I've been using a 128 GB card since 2017 and I have a fairly sizeable amount of physical and digital games, yet I still have about 40-50 gigs left on it.

I just wanna see what cool projects they’ve got in store in addition to potentially seeing FP6, but I won’t be surprised if we don’t see any Smash beyond a mention of “Byleth is out and also fighters pass vol 2 is available for preorder.”

Yeah, I feel people are getting ahead of themselves with predicting FP6's reveal. I really do think odds are we're waiting for E3.

That's why I think the Direct will happen in March. Lets them give the March releases a last second plug before pushing the summer plans. Mid-to-late February makes sense to me as well, but I'm kind of playing it safe and placing my bets on beginning of March.

Nah, there's nothing wrong with being disinterested: TBH I should've put in a 6th category for people who were just disappointed/uninterested by Byleth, just didn't cross my mind.

Odyssey 2 is such a fascinating wild card idea from Nintendo right now. I'm really curious to see if they'd really show it before showing more of BotW2.

I’m not entirely sure if they’ll do it, in fact I’m pretty sure BOTW2 is coming out next year.

But imagine if they had another Mario/Zelda year for the switch? My little heart couldn’t take it~

I feel like Pikmin 4 is gonna be the surprise E3 reveal this year. It's one of the few big name IPs (well, with core Nintendo fans, at least) that hasn't gotten a new game on Switch yet. Either that, or a Pikmin 3 port in the first General Direct, as that just seems really obvious right now along with a Mario 3D World port.

And yeah, Zelda is for sure next year.
