The elephant in the room is we don't get a reveal during TGAs and instead get an announcement for a Smash-focused direct like that airs sometime in January.

Although the smash videos gamexplain has been making are really random. It reminds me of the stuff like the case for videos that they put out before ultimate was announced which I still stand by were actually leaks cleverly hidden giving the fact they focused on daisy and ridley.

This past week they started with the there are no rules video arguing that any character could get in spirit or assist trophy. Then today they uploaded on which female character should get in. A topic that’s been heavily speculated on for the last dlc slot because people think we should get one.

Which their timing really makes me think

Not 100% sure I follow the logic here, those were still part of E3.

The thing that's closer is when they showed off Cloud in a November Direct and then pinned a final Direct for December.

I just want to say, I really dislike seeing certain smash fans forcing in gender equality & other related politics into speculation just for the sake of wanting another female character in the roster. This is exactly why I usually ignore the "#UltimateDLCSoMale" thread, and I'm not checking out Gamexplain's newest video either for the same reason.
