I can share it right now, I’m still trying to figure out a few suggestions though:
Let’s Go!:
Pikachu,
Eevee, Alolan Marowak, Melmetal
Gen I:
Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Machamp, Gengar, Meowth, Alakazam, Mewtwo.
Gen II:
Typhosion, Feraligatr, Scizor, Heracross, Granbull, Ampharos, Tyranitar, Entei.
Gen III:
Sceptile, Blaziken, Swampert, Gardevoir, Flygon, Metagross, Aggron, Deoxys.
Gen IV:
Infernape, Empoleon, Lucario, Garchomp, Weavile, Toxicroak, Roserade, Darkrai.
Gen V:
Dewott, Zoroark, Darmanitan, Golurk, Hydreigon, Haxorus, Meloetta, Genesect.
Gen VI:
Braixen, Greninja, Hawlucha, Noivern, Florges, Pangoro, Aegislash, Goodra,
Gen VII:
Decidueye, Incineroar, Bewear, Salazzle, Golisopod, Mimikyu, Tapu Koko, Pheromosa.
Gen VIII: Rillaboom? Cinderace? Intellion? Corviknight, Orbeetle? Dreadnaw? Grimmsnarl? Toxtricity? Grapploct? Dragapult? Zacian? Obstagoon?, Sirfetch’d?,

Other fighters I’m considering:

-Snorlax, Hitmonlee, Dragonite, Sandslash, Rhyhorn, Nidoking,
-Azumarill, Blissey, Quagsire, Suicine, Raikou,
-Mawile, Sableye, Cacturne, Absol, Regice
-Lopunny, Gallade, Rhyperior, Luxray, Abomasnow, Electivire,
-Emboar, Scrafty, Bisharp, Mienshao, Krookodile, Archeops, Excadrill
-Chesnaught, Heliolisk, Hoopa,
-Primarina, Zeraora, Marshadow, Poipole

Here were some changes I was considering:
-replacing Flygon with Absol, Regice, Mawile, Sableye or Cacturne
-replacing Entei with Raikou
-choosing between Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Poipole, Blacephalon for the UB rep
At first glance this seems like a really solid lineup!

I’ll try to share it with my friend and as soon as he replies me I’ll try to tell everything he told me. Doh that will have to be sometime tomorrow since at Madrid it is currently 10:34pm and he is likely sleeping.

If you spend all your time on message boards you’d think these were the most hated games in the world.

But then I step outta the bubble, and see thousands of people making fanart and memes and having fun.

And I know it’s gonna be okay.
I don’t hate SS so to speak, I hate GF’s archaic development practices and will probably not buy SS because of it.

hate the company for what they do, not the game for what it could be, but isn’t.

At least until all this compliance gives Gamefreak the impression that they can get away with anything and make something that's as bad as Fallout 76 or Sonic 06. Pride cometh before the fall after all.

...Thats hyperbole now but if they keep going on this course of mediocre games it'll most likely reach that point eventually. It always happens with these game franchises.

Poipole for the UB cuz it’s da best.

Cinderace, Toxtricity, Grimmsnarl, and Sirfetch’d would all make good fighters. As much as I love Dragapult it’s little limbs might make things kinda awkward. Orbeetle could be a cool lightweight with huge psychic knock back.

Internet fandoms do create all these weird little bubbles. I used to base my opinions off of 'em...but nowadays, I make up my own mind on stuff.

Just look at the site we're on right now: Smash Bros. is basically the mascot of video game fandom bubbles. :p

Regardless of the...internet's feelings, it seems the general populous who have played these games disagree, because as it turns out, the games might just be fun.

Or maybe they’ll take the good ideas introduced with this game while heeding the criticisms, pair it with the story quality of Sun and Moon, and make the best Pokémon generation in years.

Hell, maybe TPC will let up a bit and allow more time for development. Meaning an even better generation.

You people can be all doom and gloom if you wanna be. But I think great things are ahead, and I won’t let your pessimism stop me.

Figured as much, though I like how you say Dragapult’s limbs are awkward while Poipole isn’t much better off.

And yeah Cinderace, Toxtricity and Grimmsnarl are pretty high on my list though I wasn’t sure if Sirfetch’d’s sword is too long or would make the hitboxes awkward.

I remember being this optimistic.

With Gamefreak it's always one step forward several steps back.

I'm actually struggling to remember a time they brought back cool features introduced in past ganes, player search in ORAS? Maybe?

Poipole’s limbs are small, but it’s whole body is small. Dragapult has a long salamander body with little limbs, which is adorable, but could be tricky to work with. If you can make it work though, by all means.

Also Dracozolt

I would rather they go back to the drawing board and make that Pokemon warriors that was in consideration before this.
Pokemon Warriors sounds amazing. As someone who hadn't played any Warriors games until Hyrule Warriors, but always liked hack'n'slashers, I would love to see crossovers with any franchise they could get their hands on.

Biases aside, which do you think would have more potential as a fighter?

Also hell no.

Imagine if Koei Tecmo made Marvel Warriors!

Okay, real talk here.

I'm about to do the final parts of Shield (just finished the last gym), and I'm unsure what Pokemon I want to be takin' with me to the end. I'm torn about giving my final slot to Dracozolt, Falinks, Goodra, Drampa, Dragapult, or Bisharp.

Thoughts? Current team is:

Cinderace
Gourgeist
Toxapex
Alcremie
Indeedee

Boy I sure do love being guilted for enjoying something someone else doesn't. If pokemon ever got to the point where the games where that bad I'd go play something else.

I'll agree that Sw/Sh are very flawed games that could be a lot better (even if some people are latching onto or exaggerating the wrong things, like visuals), but at a certain point it feels like people are looking for things to complain about. We don't know if any future games will be as bad as Sonic 06 because those games don't even exist yet. I'll save the doomsday crying for when the next trailers drop, and I'll judge if I think they look good or not for myself.

Wait, is it legitimately a hack'n'slash? Weren't the first 2, like, top-down strategy-ish games?
Yeah, this game plays similar to the other 2 in general.

Doh you are basically fighting many groups of enemies and bosses through the story, so it does resemble mushous on that regard.

There’s also the whole thing with the so called “Heroic Camera” which makes the game play from a third person perspective to a view closer to the ground.

Dragapult has more potential, seeing as how it’s a fully evolved ghost dragon. Being based off a stealth jet means it’d be fast and projectile heavy, most likely.

Maybe it could grab with its tail? It’s already long and ghostly, it could totally wrap around someone.

Dragapult is one of my favorite gen 8 Pokémon so I gotta recommend it. Only issue is it gives you another dark weakness. Maybe Dracozolt would be better.

Hm, I'll think about it if I see it for a good price, but the gameplay of the first 2 just never grabbed me.

Dracozolt is pretty great, yeah. I'd also be tempted to try and trade for a Deino for Hydregion (my favorite dragon Pokemon), but that'd give me a third weakness to bug so that'd probably not be ideal.

Maybe a Daruladon or Grapploct? Frosmoth is cool too.

I would say that this has the best gameplay of the series since it has that speed, pace and visual action common of Koei Tecmo’s mousus (doh I feel this is one of their best looking games since the levels are great to look around).

Unless they actually take criticism into account (which they've never have let's be real here) that's the only future I can see happening. It might not be the next game sure, but if they keep pumping out games that are simply mediocre then that's the only future I see.

As long as the roster isn't dominated by Kanto and Blaziken is in then I'm down for that.

So, I just saw that Sabi disconfirmed Sora and says that Master Chief audio isn't real (which wasn't likely anyway), so if it isn't Sora or a Capcom rep, then I'm down to just Shantae and Edelgard as my "most likely" picks.

I still want to hear from Vergeben regarding Capcom and Sora, since I find him more trustworthy than Sabi.

Do you think there’s room on my roster for both then? Worst case scenario one or both end up as Pokéball assists.

I dunno your limit, maybe there is room for both! It’s not like they’d play exactly the same.

Poipole could maybe have an ink mechanic, like the squid kids. Not doing much damage on its own but really racking up percentage when a lot of rapid fire attacks. While I feel Dragapult would be focused on shooting projectiles from afar to avoid damage. And if it has to get in close, getting in and getting out as soon as possible to avoid taking too much damage. You could even incorporate the Dreepy for rapid jabs or something.

Maybe, that last suggestion could work as I wanna incorporate Floettes into my moves for Florges.

For the record I have my limit set to 8 per Gen for base (9 including DLC)
