Had a bit of a realization that if Gamefreak ends up makinf Diamond and pearl remakes that they will end up being an extremely blatant cashgrab purely because the National dex was deleted.

The entire reason they remade the first 3 generations was because it was increasingly harder to complete the National dex because those Pokemon weren't readily available in the current games. But without a national dex to complete anyway there's no need to remake Diamond and Pearl.

Itll definitely be better than Sword and shield the same way ORAS was better than XY.

They have fantastic games to use as a base, even if it's worse than the originals it'll still be good.

Probably won't be worth 60 dollars but it'll still be good.

Let's not pretend the original DP were perfect. They also suffered from slowdown, bad pacing, cumbersome environments, a bad Pokedex that restricted the new Pokemon you could use (ex. Most evolutions like Yanmega and Rhyperior) as well as bad typing distribution (ex. Fire and Electric), among other things. Part of the reason Platinum was held in high regard was because the base it was given needed a lot of fixing up to work, it was not that strong a set of paired versions and mechanically was probably one of the weakest after the original Gen 1 games.

I actually was referring to Platinum in this.

And by recent games I mean how in XY, Sun and Moon and Sword and shield the games felt less like an adventure and more like a vacation in a tour group, it felt like you were on a straight line instead of going into the wilderness on a journey.

All of the pokemon games have been super linear though, the past games feel less like it more so because of tedious back tracking and time wasters rather than actual good game and map design. QoL changes as time goes on just make it more obvious in recent games about this ongoing problem. I'd also say SWSH fixes that decently well with how the pokemon league is presented as an actual competition/sport

I definitely agree that Sinnoh allowed for more exploration, but even then it wasn't great in how it handled that element either. Mt. Coronet was a complete slog to get through, routes like 216, while wide were also hindered by the terrain slowing you down, and the HMs requirememt (which were required for transvering) were at their worst thanks to examples like Defog. It was still a region that had it's own problems with its journey.

XD It was honestly a fun challenge in its own way! And who knew, from drawing violent and bloodthirsty dragon filled with narcissism and sarcasm, I could take the task of drawing an adorable dinosaur! :3 Again, thank you so much for commissioning me, Zinith! :D I am still open for more if anyone is interested!

xD I did most of the commission on my old laptop, and I finished it in the new one. Now that I try to draw from scratch in the new one, I feel it kind of odd, I need to get used to it or find the right settings for my tablet. (xD And also all the fonts I had before)

xD Heheh, I hope its not too long! The funny thing is, my old one was an slow as heck Lenovo with problems left and right, and I got used to that, but with this one, I haven't gotten any problems yet despite it having the dreaded Win10 and its WAY too fast. I mean, I can play my favorite AC game without any lag or flickering finally, so, I am not complaining on that side for now!

I can't believe we're judging games that don't even exist yet. The pokemon fandom sure is something.

Spoiler Alert: Remakes have always been cash grabs, even when they had a pokedex "reason" to exist. That's unrelated to if they're good or not.

Y'all should be more concerned with whether the Battle Frontier will be kept in hypothetical Gen 4 remake.

Even then, Pokemon Pearl was my first Pokemon. Playing a fully remade version on a goddamn console is a childhood pipe dream made real. I really hope they're considering making them.

This is pretty much the Pokemon fandom post-NatDex drama. Things have quieted down now, but when the next games get announced, hooooo boy people are gonna come back out of the woodwork and make it "fun" all over again.

The Pokemon fandom is straight up just the Sonic fandom now. Just lots of yelling and constant complaining, with seemingly nothing being able to make them happy.
