I always found it a bit odd how people talk about how a series is "dead" whenever they get spirits. I don't consider it being dead at all. Getting in as a spirit, an assist trophy, or anything like that is awesome, in my opinion.

I'd be all for Spirits not deconfirming 'cause it'd give my precious Octolings another chance, but I'm not gonna lie I really think they do. Especially these RE ones.

There is a pretty darn good chance post-pass characters have been decided already and are being worked on as we speak. Why would they add RE spirits now if they already have a Fighter Pack coming with more RE content later? Wouldn't they just save the spirits for that? It doesn't make much sense, TBH, which is why I do think spirits deconfirm. Now more than ever.

Luigi's Mansion Three could've gotten some Spirits. I could see them adding a variant of Luigi with the new Poltergust, Googi, Helena, and the new generic ghosts.

If it's for a newer game, you could argue that Spirits were added for the purpose of promoting the new game close to its release. Wouldn't be nearly as effective for them to wait for the new character several months later.

A random set of Spirits for a series with no new game is a little harder to defend though. I feel like there's a bigger reason why we're randomly getting these RE Spirits, but since there's no solid evidence of a new game coming out soon, it's just a theory.

Steam's Autumn Sale is up, and the Resident Evil 2 remake is currently 67% off (about $26 Canadian). I enjoyed Resident Evil 4 and 5, but I disliked the gameplay of the Resident Evil 1 remake on the Gamecube - would this be worth getting?

I'm not sure what to think about DLC moving forward. This RE news has shook a lot of my own personal theories up.

Right now, my gut is telling me that it's 2B, Reimu, or a Tales character. Tekken seems likely too.

Why is everyone soo ****-sure that all the DLC characters going forward will be exclusively 3rd party, when all these series we talk about could be nothing more than Spirits.
