I thought that Cloud was considered a solid character in Ultimate?

He is. General consensus among the competitive community is that he's high tier, even.

He's just overshadowed by Chrom and Lucina.

Agreed. It'd be nice if Bayo was atleast good, not horribly overpowered but the way she is now I almost never play her anymore.

She definitely needed nerfs
But going from top teir to arguably bottom 10 is an astronomically large fall. Even MK wasn't hit that hard in the Brawl to 4 transition.

Hot take: I personally think Corrin is one of (If not) the worst characters in the whole game.

The only things going for them is range, one ok kill throw and an alright recovery.

Otherwise, Pin is gutted as a whole, they’re really freaking slow for a sword character, lack a good amount of kill options due to nerfs to aerials and neutral special, no good get off tools, lacks a niche that would be better than other swordies, other stuff that is slower then even Ike at times, and all I get is a character that’s feels really miserable to play as no matter how I play.


Maybe I am exaggerating about it, but I still feel like that they’re underwhelming in all cases.

I don’t really get into the nitty gritty of frame data and I don’t play online, but she feels the same to me. Everyone really feels the same as they’ve always done.

Cloud still a good character, it's just that he awards players for being aggresive rather than the campfest he was in Smash 4.

Plus, they toned down limit because it was actually stupid that it was a permanent upgrade if you didn't use the B button in Smash 4.

Then again, I can't actually recall ever meeting you in this thread, but I only became active 'round these parts a few months ago, so idk.

Idk, pre-patch Meta Knight straight up didn't work, his hitboxes were atrociously bad and didn't even cover the sword, on top of all his damage and knockback nerfs. Like, it was Melee Roy levels of bad.

Not saying Bayo didn't get gutted though.

Fair enough, but at least MK got fixed decently quickly.
We're only a couple weeks from the 1 year anniversary and I'm not sure if Bayo has gotten any changes at all, and if she has they obviously weren't very meaningful.

I mean, they probably feel the same to you because you tend to play the same characters, no?

That's the point of maining characters; the familiarity of knowing how specific characters work allows you to optimize your fighting style drastically.

I mean, I don't even think I've went in depth with ever character, obviously(even not counting dlc, I've only sparinly used like 5-10 different characters. I believe I have played almost every character at least once thou)

I mean, it could change how they bounce and how far they go. It’s a small change, but I think it’d be interesting.

Performance in the Wild Area is pretty okay...as long as you don't have online enabled. I wonder if some of the complaints about the Wild Area's framerate being unbearable came from people playing with online communications on at all times? Kind of a bummer that it works that way, but eh, it's a Nintendo online game. It's par for the course.

Honestly, agreed. It's not like I'm playing a twitch-based action game; the frame drops are a minor issue in a game like Pokemon, especially when the only noticeable dips are in the Wild Area with online enabled. With online off, it's actually pretty smooth.

I've been rewatching the Half-Life: Alyx trailer and I noticed there was a Scout bobblehead in the bottom shelf at 1:00. It's a funny little easter egg but it makes me happy that Team Fortress isn't completely forgotten by Valve. Who knows? Maybe Team Fortress might get a VR game in the future as well.

The worst Raid Battle I've ha so far was against Toxtricity. Due attacks multiple times each turn, is full of AoE moves and you can't even cheeses it with Lightningrod. It pretty much wipes out the entire AI with no trouble.

Well, I got on my Xbox One X and noticed that Mortal Kombat 11 Premium, SoulCalibur VI Deluxe, and Tekken 7 Ultimate were all having BIG Gold sales...

So you know what I did?

I bought them all...

107 dollars.
