It’s the most fun I’ve had in months. It’s not a perfect game by any means, there are big issues I hope are addressed in the future. But I hope they take the good ideas in this game and use it as a stepping stone for the future.

I've got nearly all the Pokemon I can get in Sword alone.

Not sure how I'm going to get the rest of the Pokemon with no GTS.

I've passed on Sword and Shield, since I have higher standards for what a $60 console Pokemon game in 2019 should be, especially when this is the same system that's given us Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild. I'm sure it's just as fun as any other Pokemon game and has some good qualities, and I don't think there's anything wrong with anyone enjoying the games, but I personally just don't feel like supporting this game. When/if GameFreak releases a game that shows more ambition and competence, I'll gladly buy it.

For now I'll just get back to replaying some of the old games, which I started when I played through Platinum back in 2016, then started Soul Silver and... forgot. Guess I'll pick that back up after three years.

I don't play a lot of pokemon. The only games I've completed more than once were Red and Silver from my middle school days. I don't EV train or shiny hunt or play other people competitively. I just pick up the games, beat the elite four, and feel satisfied.

From my perspective, it's really good. Unlike X/Y, I'm enjoying it.

Ahh, yeah i'm the same way. I do generally try and complete the national dex, though. Well in past games that is.

Oh yeah, I'm the only ***** who's modding this place right now, so all of you ****ers have to bow down to the NonSpecificGod.

On the other hand it also means that I'm in charge of figuring out how to make this god forsaken place presentable and oh god I'm slacking.
