Gotta say, just randomly resurrecting all these old characters is really lazy of the writers. Completely removes the emotional impact of their deaths, this show has jumped the shark.

Serious note: If you are, I'll gladly help if the admins feel it needs another set of eyes. I can't promise to be extremely active through the holidays but the social stuff was always more my scene anyway.

Today marks a special day for one of the best consoles of all-time. I actually still have my old DSi XL in my bedroom, though I don't have any games to play it on since the game titles I previously had are long gone. But, I can always save up some money and purchase some pre-owned copies at Gamestop.​

There’s a lot of nuance to why it was trash, but I digress.

you know how Pokémon made they post about shiny odds? Right now it seems to be completely in accurate and flat out wrong compared to their code.

I was watching adrive stream, and apparently he’s been talking with Serebii Serebii and data miners.

Dataminers think Pokémon screwed the code up. According to Pokémon after battling 500 of your target Pokémon you should have a x6 shiny odds.

which puts the odds at roughly 1 in 612 without the shiny charm, 1 in 500 roughly with it. However people are going over 2000, 3000, and even 4000 encounters with this method and nothing.

According to the data apparently the game seems to only you give you x6 roll for the shiny every few encounters, not every encounter like Pokémon said.

This makes the odds more like 1 in 3500 based on the code from what I understand.

which if that’s how the odds are actually working right now that’s a big oof. That’s nowhere near what Pokémon themselves intend the odds to be and should be fixed immediately.

now you may think, how could they screw that one up? Well you know the two different shiny sparkles?

The code is wrong there too. Squares are suppose to be the rarest and stars common but right now it’s reversed because the code is wrong. So they could have easily messed up the odds for this new method.

Granted this is all speculation right now and being looked into, but if you are hunting using this method, keep this in mind. If the odds are really wrong, I hope we get a patch.

Right now Masuda method is the best way to get shinies it’s pretty high and the bike is much better for hatching now.

Working every night to release our next episode before Thanksgiving and holding off my desperate need to play Shenmue III in the process.

Otherwise, uh. Same? Some stuff happened over the last few months that weren't great, but stuff's back to normal. Mostly.
