If you turn it on its side, it's like Sonic is asking you to paint him like one of your French hedgehogs.
I didn't want to put you on ignore but you left me no choice.

It's 2019, Pokemon, the highest grossing multi billion dollar franchise in the world, should not have performance issues while Witcher3 is fine.

That's not even to say things about things like pop in, animations freezing when doing certain things on the overworld, or terribad animations.

Dexit is the least of the concerns when you can reliably get the game to chug.
See, my thing is that as long as the gameplay is good, you got me.

I’ve consistently played the newest Pokémon games since...I guess I realized I missed Diamond and Pearl. I walked into GameStop one day, saw Dialga, thought, “That thing looks SO COOL. I need it!”

Sure enough, every time I get to play through a Pokémon adventure, I know what I’m getting out of it. It’s a fun game.

A few years back, I had my fiancé get me a video game that I thought would be the next big hit. It was one of the highest quality games in terms of graphics. I had to have it.

That game was The Order: 1886. It was beautiful, but the gameplay was utter trash. Boss fights were all the same, it was like 60%+ cutscenes.

Should the frame rate be better for Pokémon? Yes. Is Game Freak showing themselves to be in need of assistance? Also yes. Do I think Pokémon will return to form? Triple yes. I have a feeling Nintendo will actually ream them if things go further south, and I would actually believe that they will purposely add all Pokémon back in the next installment to save face.

But it all comes down to gameplay. If the game isn’t fun, what’s the point? Even if it’s the prettiest game ever, it means nothing if it’s not fun. Sure, the Witcher 3 has beautiful graphics, but let’s remember: the audience for the game is quite different from that of Pokémon. The kids who will chomp at the bit this Friday want to have fun with Pokémon, I bet that they wouldn’t give two ****s about framerate.

I’m 26, was 23-24 when S&M came out, and I didn’t give a rats behind.

Counterpoint: Gameplay and graphics go hand in hand. If a game has ****ty graphics, it's not going to be fun, and vice versa.

Doesn't really change who makes the game, SS are looking to be super bad, graphics wise.

Like, I dont care about all the Pokemon cuts at this point.

It's just unacceptable for a game as big as Pokemon to suffer issues with performance while graphical juggernauts are fine.

We could give them a pass with the 3ds since hey, it's a weaker system, but this is the Switch, a system that had Witcher3, Dragon Quest 11s, Skyrim and Luigis Mansion 3, all very pretty games with little to no technical difficulty, and yet Pokemon stutters.

Of course the gameplay will be fun, it's Pokemon, but it's time to stop giving them a free pass now when they're on a legit powerful system and yet the game is riddled with technical issues.

Pretty much ditto here. Nothing else to add, honestly.

And scenes like this certainly won’t help negate that.View attachment 246371
Sonic: Hey Pac-Man! Wanna draw me?

Pac-Man: Only if you Freebase with me ************!

Sonic: But drugs are bad!

Pac-Man: Coward!

*Pac-Man freebases alone*

Pac-Man: WOAH! HOLY ****!

*has a seizure while the Pac-Man theme sounds in the background*

Wouldn't that just prove my point thou?

My point is that games don't just hinge on Gameplay itself, as Scolislic is claiming. But rather that both gameplay and graphics!

Graphics don't mean ****. You can have fun games with **** graphics.

But performance means the world. If your fun game is constantly slowing down or other issues like that, then you have issues.

I just want to add one thing; If gameplay was the only thing that mattered in terms of a game's overall quality, MvC:I would've been a smash hit.
But it wasn't, because there's more to how many people enjoy a game than just how it plays.

No. I agree that gameplay and graphics SHOULD go nicely with one another but the N64 has **** graphics just like the PS1 and people can still go back and thoroughly enjoy them to this day, same with Arcades.

Then again, there's also the matter of time period. Those games have the excuse of novelty and nostalgia for their aged graphical power, but I can't exactly say the same for Pokémon.

Is that a glimpse of her cleavage I can see popping up from the border?

...is that full pic an NSFW one?
I mean, Shantae always had a bit of cleavage exposed.

If it is NSFW then I’m changing it.

Edit: Changed it just to be safe.
