I think its compensation for filling out roles that are lacking in players. I like it.

Regarding AT/Spirits upgrades, I could see them... if those were the only options to choose from. One of the popular arguments at the start of the fighter pass was that it isn't possible that spirits disconfirm as there are 1300+ that would be disconfirmed, but when you look at it and the current pass they easily grabbed characters that weren't represented in the game and as long as there are options to choose from, they can keep adding as many non-spirit characters/franchises as they want.

I know that there's comparisons with trophies in Sm4sh but compared to the DLC back then, Ultimate seems a lot more planned and organized and the continuous addition of them just makes me think that people are taking their status quite lightly.

Remember the whole thing with the fanpolls, not every popular character is going to be shown in the fanpolls. So they can choose easily franchises that are popular and still have nothing to represent them on Smash yet. A popular character that is a spirit is not the only popular character in the world. And while Sakurai could surprise us, I really doubt it given the scope for the game and frankly I will keep the idea that AT/Spirits/Content is disconfirmation until it isn't.

I added a bunch of PS VR stuff to my christmas list after me media arts teacher let us fool around with it and I played this AMAZING VR 3D drawing game. That was an experience I need to have again.

You kinda took my post out of context if this is the only thing you quoted. The way you quoted it made it seem like one thing would earn quantifiably less, which we don’t know, and that I’m only about Nintendo making money, which is not necessarily true.

The polls making me cringe doesn’t have to do with who is popular in them. It makes me cringe because people use it as backup for their own picks, when in the grand scheme of things it’s not an overall accurate portrayal at this point.

Hey now, we all know how well Piranha Plant, Joker, Dragon Quest Hero, and Terry Bogard did in the polls! Surely it’s based on popularity in the Smash community!

Seriously though, why does everyone seem to ignore the fact that, even if these fan polls are the perfect representation of a character’s popularity, only 1/5 of the characters, 20% of the DLC so far was based on demand for Smash?
