Not gonna lie, I didn't even realize Hamtaro was an anime when I first watched it lol.

I didn't group with stuff like Pokemon, DBZ or Naruto, you know, the shows that were always on CN's Toonami block at night when I was really little.

Sonic X and Kirby don’t count because they won’t turn you into a weeb.

Pokémon is barely on the edge of weebotry. DBZ is mainstream enough, but it’s still full weeb. Same with Naruto, Sailor Moon, One Piece, etc.

This sums it up better than I could find words for. Pokemon, Sonic X, and Kirby are technically animes, but they don't lean on the major tropes that most anime is made of, which is why they're so passable for regular cartoons internationally.

For it to be full weeb, you gotta turn into this after watching it.

Ponyo is one of the most nostalgic movies for me.

Like the kinda nostalgia that makes you almost cry because it’s so strong.

One Piece was also dubbed by 4Kids, and that's anime as hell. But generally 4Kids seems to have curated mostly shows that rech the bottom of the Weeb Scale.

Not sure where to place Yu-Gi-Oh on the scale, though.

oh wait, no, I found it; I just got it confused with a different movie's name I guess because she takes stuff like small people in some other movie do.

It was The Secret World of Arrietty. It just came on one day while watching movies and I liked it. I don't remember when, sometime much earlier in this decade.

I remember seeing a commercial for Ponyo, though; I may have had some interest but I never watched it.
