This anti-third party elitism is more prevalent than I'd like to admit, which is both fascinating and revolting to me. You'll be able to find a massive heap of it on the GoNintendo comment sections; people there dismiss the Fighter Pass on the sole basis of it consisting of third parties (there's quite a few "ugh!"s thrown here and there, just so you can get an idea).

Glad people are taking a liking to Banjo and Kazooie's playstyle. Even if they are a more straight forward character(s). But I think that's a part of their appeal. I wonder what if Terry will have any particular mechanics outside of potentially having inputs like Ryu and Ken.

Would he have Max Mode like Geese does in Tekken 7? Not that I think you'd need that much, but the Shoto's also have their Focus Attack as well.

It's not 'potentially' having inputs, we see Terry crouch before Burn Knuckle and there's a flash like Ryu and Ken's flash when doing input variants

I don't mind them being simple. Not every character's moveset needs to reinvent the wheel.

Demon's Crest or Super Metroid. The former is a pretty underrated gem as far as I'm concerned. It's really good, but it's not brought up as often as some of the other greats.

And Super Metroid IS one of those greats.

Some people say Terry is a nobody, despite being a fighting game legend, and that "no one asked for him" and a "trash inclusion". And some people rag on the Sans costume because he's "a character with only memes to back him up" and claim people who are excited for him are "ignorant clowns".

Both of these are bull****.

Terry is a fine inclusion. Sans is a nice Mii costume. Is it too much to ask for people to, I don't know, grow up and just be happy at what they got? Oh wait, this is the Internet. Of course it's too much to ask

If it makes ya feel any better I was just ****posting earlier, I was one of the people backing Terry the hardest during the leaks.

We got a smiley? It's so bizarre thinking about it. The things I miss while in a hype coma.

As for Banjo & Kazooie's moves--it was disappointing seeing so many reactions underwhelmed by their moves. The reason I have wanted Banjo & Kazooie in Smash for so long is that they would have fit well in Smash 64, and timing, logistics, and legal issues prevented them from being in the games until Ultimate. As a throwback character, their moves themselves are like a throwback to Smash 64, outside of a few things like how Wonderwing operates. Their drawbacks are pretty much taken from the games--when you're out of gold feathers you're out of luck. I like that more than recharging, even if it's a nerf. It's a nerf taken straight from the games. This is one of many examples like that.

The only things that are weird to me is Banjo & Kazooie seem to have a low jump compared to how I'm used to, but makes sense given being able to flap twice after using their up special. Another is how the eggs were implemented--in the originals you could shoot the eggs in a straight line (like at Conga), and while I understand having to balance it, I feel like it would work better if they could shoot straight in a long range, but it gets weaker the longer they move. Lastly, mostly a cosmetic issue, but the golden feathers being above Banjo & Kazooie is weird--I thought from their original trailer that it would be necessary for whatever gimmick they had. But instead, it just makes it hard to remember how many feathers you have, would have made much more sense staying fixed by their health icon. The time I need to find out how many gold feathers I have left are not when I'm using them. Those are the only nitpicks I have, though--they play almost exactly how I pictured them, and I love the new moves they added to make them work in Smash.

It's been over a MONTH since Hero was added and he doesn't have his other alts.

Yeah, I've always felt it was a weird omission that I thought would just take more time (since I guess people have to rip them out of the game themselves, not being on the website--I dunno how that works). But I've had them from the Smash Wiki for quite a while now. I prefer Eight and Three to Eleven (really all of them to Eleven) and will update my signature if/when that happens.

Lots of them complain about third parties, but their phrasing "third parties are evil" feels like they're parodying that.

They're using common complaints because they know that's what riles people up.

You know I'll say that even if they show off character 5 in Terry's Presentation, which they absolutely will, they'll pull a "ONE MORE THING!"

Let's be real, they said themselves that production has started.


They've probably already decided who's going to be in for the near future at the very least, and considering the time we have until Feb, which is about 5 months, if the first character doesn't have a stage, that's a lot of time saved.

Crazy to think this series started with just 12 Nintendo characters from 10 different series to being 80+ Characters in from 36 series this far.
