I actually would be a bit more suspicious if there isn't Minecraft content with Banjo, as Microsoft loves pushing Minecraft everywhere.

While I know I’m probably wrong because of the custom stage icon or whatever, I still think it is possible for a bonus Minecraft stage to accompany Banjo’s entrance to Smash. I know saying this will undoubtably open up a tonne of old arguments, but I still think that there is at least a chance it could happen.

All Sabi is doing is preparing for the possibility that it may not be an SNK character, so if one isn't revealed then they can just go "well I said it wasn't guaranteed" in an attempt to make sure their reputation isn't ruined.

At least in the past week or so, given that SNK characters have been on everyone's mind. Overwatch had recent relevance in the scene as well. And then it turns out to be someone who wasn't in any recent or seemingly significant leaks at all.

Terry will have his hat.

In The King of Fighters 2002, a young Rock Howard joins Terry in one of his victory poses.

We'll have to see if the banner references that.
