Really? Damn. Hope the kid turns out okay, he never seemed to be in the best state of mind.
Yeah, this place was kind of bad for him. We tried to tell him before that he should take a break from the website due to how much it was stressing him out. I'm happy that he made the decision to leave. That's not always an easy choice to make, but it was one he had the strength to make, and I heavily respect that.

Speaking of deleted users, anyone know what happened to Onereasonanddone? Did he take the L on his Erdrick bet?

Hey anyone know whatever happened to ShinyLegendary?
Quit the website a while ago. Got upset at users for various reasons (whether justified or not) and just stopped caring in the end. There were other things stressing him out as well, but he developed a bad temper toward the end of his run on here.

Well tomorrow I’m either starting up the Golden Deer or playing through Shadow Dragon.

The completionist in me basically requires that I play Church and Blue Lions routes. But my soul says, “I can’t”.

It’s not everyday you find a game that hits you in the ideology and sticks.

But I gotta tell ya, if there’s anyone I won’t miss when they’re gone, it’s that obnoxious Wademan94 or whatever the hell his name is. The sap is always begging for attention and will take any opportunity to skill whatever random idea comes to his head. Always has to put his nose where it doesn’t belong. What a loser.

Better question...

When will that irritating Zinith ever leave? :yoshi:
And whatever happened to Noipoi?
You guys do know that you are basically talking about your-never mind, I don't want to spoil the joke around here. Sorry.

I think this specific fake "leak" was made to toy with me:

aw an early investors screening for the direct which was screened at nintendo of europe, frankfurt. here's what i know. screencap this post anons

>September 19th, 2019
>30 min. direct, focuses on Nintendo Switch Online

>direct starts off with yoshiaki koizumi introducing us to the direct, etc.

>passes it over to shinya takahashi, who goes onto introduce a new service coming to nintendo switch online: Nintendo&Me

>Nintendo&Me is a music service coming to the app where you'll be able to listen to a selection of nintendo game osts. the app can be accessed via the nintendo switch online app on mobile or downloaded from the eShop on switch.

>there'll be 20 albums to start off with, more are added weekly. additionally, compatible games within your Switch Library will have their soundtracks added under the tab "Linked Soundtracks" within the app. launches september 26th, 2019

>this alone takes like 3 minutes of the entire direct

>next, takahashi mentions how it's been a year since the launch of NES online and how happy they are that nintendo switch online users are enjoying the vast selection of NES games. this leads into SNES online which is exactly what it sounds like

>at launch, SNES online will have F-ZERO, Super Mario All-Stars, Kirby Super Star, Yoshi's Island and Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, with 3 more being added monthly in a similar fashion to NES online. unlike NES online, however, SNES online will be a paid application, costing around $1.99 USD

>passes it back to koizumi who thanks takahashi for his time. koizumi introduces new titles coming to the nintendo switch

>a new Dr. Mario game is announced which introduces new viruses from the mobile game. not the biggest dr. mario fan so i'm unsure if it's a remaster of the original with new content, a port of the mobile game, or what. they showed multiple Dr.'s besides mario (peach and luigi are the ones i can recall)

>banjo news update is dropped but just like joker it's only an announcement of an announcement. this time we get an exact date of the future announcement, promising a fall update video September 23rd

>new paper mario game! partners are added (trailer introduces a new chain chomp partner named Chompy, he's a yellow chain chomp with freckles and a propeller hat). stickers are also a thing but have their concept reworked to function more like the spell items in paper mario 64 where they can be summoned as attacks with flashy animations. the plot of the game revolves around mario saving a town from drippy ink creatures (implied to be zombies of some sort). working title is "Paper Mario for Nintendo Switch" and releases Q2 2020.

>link's awakening info is shown but it's stuff we already knew from the original game so i'm going to skip over it. dampe's dungeon maker has an online leaderboard so that's cool i guess. shows off amiibo functionality but we knew that already as well

>koizumi talks to build up the next reveal: F-ZERO makes a return onto the switch. the trailer is animated. it's a half racer, half beat em up. captain falcon is a racer by day, hero by night who hides his identity. night levels captain falcon beats up burglers and appears to draw more from his smash incarnation. releases Q3 2019, title is "F-ZERO: LET'S GO!"

>koizumi then turns to tatsuya minami, who presents to us bayonetta 3. i don't give a **** about bayonetta so everything they talked about was a blur to me. it just looked like the same thing. releases in 2020 there's no exact date

>goes back to koizumi, they have one more announcement to make.

>CG courtroom is in session. bowser is the defendant, phoenix wright is defending his client, mario. there's actual text in this trailer, the judge is saying that bowser is being accused of kidnapping. he looks surprised as the judge says this, and the prosecutor is Bowser Jr. (and the Koopalings). bowser jr. starts speaking gibberish, phoenix thinks to himself that he can't understand what they're saying, screams objection, smash trailer. one of his taunts has the medium girl from the first game appear, side smash is objection, forward air is a statue(?), final smash is that 4 locks appear on the opponent and every time phoenix hits them, a lock goes down. once the locks reach zero, the opponent gets instantly KOed. super smash bros ultimate x phoenix wright.

Imagine that end after such a boring first half. My two biggest Nintendo wants followed by my Smash want. I'd probably **** myself in excitement.

Mega Man X Dive has some kind of PvP team battle mode and a Co-Op mode in it.

Supposedly Ferham was teased too, she's a command mission boss. I hope this extends to either more bosses like Sigma, Storm Eagle and Magma Dragoon. Or at the very least, we get those other Mega Men sooner than later that were hinted at by Protodude.

Also Massimo. It feels weird he's the only main Command Mission team member not present.

Probably fake, but man I hope there’s a direct soon. There’s usually one in September right?

Luckily I was able to stop at Nintendo Direct "focuses on Nintendo Switch Online" and not have to read any more and get disappointed. Rarely will Nintendo talk much about Online in a Direct, where they mostly drop stuff on Twitter, let alone have enough content to focus on it. :joyful:

I’d do more self-depreciation comments but with how handle them, I feel like people would be genuinely concerned about my wellbeing.
You should see me when I’m not here... the amount of spine jokes I make about myself, or jokes in general, is excessive.

The other day my gf told me a about a meme that said, “Don’t go for a 10/10. Get yourself a man who’s a 7/10 and can make you laugh”

“Are you implying I’m a 7? Oh, maybe you meant I’m on a 10 on a...curve”

It never ends.

Just completed the Golden Deer route last night.

Firstly, I do have to agree that Nemesis kind of comes out of nowhere. He does have a lot of lore behind him and to the plot's credit they do connect him to "Those who slither in the Dark" before you fight Thale, but even then I can't help but feel they could've implied that he was resting somewhere a little before his appearance. With that said the battle against him was fun and the music is excellent, so at least he has that.

As for the route as a whole, I want to complete the other three routes before giving my full thoughts, but based on first impressions I enjoyed it. The at pacing I feel is better in the first half as the leisurely storytelling allows for things to be more fleshed out, but the second half is still good at getting you to understand the importance of what is happening next and why the characters are pursuing that action. A good example is taking the Great Bridge, they explain why they're taking it (it's a key position for the empire to invade the Alliance), they explain how they plan on tackling the challenge of conquering it against the odds (they draw forces away), and then place importance on you taking the area once the chapter is finished. It's a good way of establishing the importance of what's going on while working with the restrictions of the arc's strict 11 chapters, and considering how rushed it could've been it handled itself well.

As for the characters, I will admit that based on what I've seen of the other two lords, Claude does seem to be the most straightforward of the three, but you still get a good amount of character from him as he has very good interactions and reactions to what happens in the story, his backstory is effective at getting you to understand his point of view and how it influences his actions, and his cleverness when it comes to politics and strategy are given a chance to be showcased pretty well. He's a character that still shines with what he gives to the story and supports and he's easily one of my favorite characters so far. The rest of the cast I'll admit I was a little skeptical of them at first, but aside from maybe one or two they get some great supports and/or story roles that make them stand out on their own as well.

Now to pick my next route and I'm honestly kind of stuck. On the one hand I already had plans to play that one next and Edelgard still has my interest, but I'll admit seeing what happens to Dimitri made me curious to play the BL route to see what happens to him. So I'm trying to decide which route I have more interest in seeing how it plays out next.

I’d vote for blue lions.

It's not like anyone would miss that KingofPhantoms guy. He only shows up every now and then.

I have no idea when he was last seen around these parts, anyway.

Rather then complain about missing users we hate, let's talk about missing users we love.

Like that Zachmac guy, am I right? Super clever and funny. I mean having upside down Claude avatar? What a funny and original joke!

Man, I miss having him around here.
