...Steve fans seem mostly quiet.
Any character that can regularly crack a top ten will obviously have a large contingent of people cheering for them.Yeah. Where he’s number freakin 7. Your proving my point. He’s not a list topper.
Perhaps. That is just an assumption. Smash is a proven brand that isn't short on budget, and the games are only rated E10.The issue with Sora is the House of the Mouse, which is a pretty big hurdle to get over.
I don't really think one effected the other though. If Layton's series returned to prominence I don't doubt there'd be room for both within the speculation scene. You already got it with Layton, he hit his peak in Smash 4, and after that, it was the Phoenix train plowing through.
You guys owe Vergeben a great debt for making the fanbase not outright dismiss you.As for Steve, we always existed, but you know, in Smash 4 times, Minecraft was... "cringe". Heck, it was "cringe" up until late last year, where everyone was suddenly sick of Fortnite and moved back to Minecraft.
Not exactly...Well...
It's the first time that Phoenix Wright make some noise in this thread...
Actually, yeah, I saw something on Twitter like this:I think some of the people here are dead set on Resident Evil and DOOM, which is why this argument comes up often.
Speaking of DOOM, people are sleeping hard on Skyrim.
Yeah, I don't see why we need to unnecessarily dunk on other characters--I believe in being honest and stating my views, positive or negative (and if that angers people in the process, so be it), but I try to do so from a place of humility, emphasizing over and over that it's my personal opinion, and not making grand statements. I've done it for Dark Samus, Isabelle, Incineroar, and Piranha Plant, and yeah, Steve (sorry)--characters that were disappointing to me personally or I downright don't like, but I try very hard not to dismiss the fans of those characters. And once I feel like I've sufficiently stated my views, I tend to drop it and let my past posts speak for themselves and not hammer it too hard. I feel like we should have whatever opinions we want on the games (i.e., nothing to seriously get worked up over), with civil agree to disagreements, and that respect goes both ways.I mean you don’t see that many Steve fans around here but that doesn’t mean he’s not a popular choice; Steve moveset videos get loads of likes far outnumbering dislikes, one reaching 103k likes with only 1.5k dislikes. A lot of fans are quiet. Steve even got within the top ten in a few polls, one on that fan-made Smash Bros. twitter that does fan ballots.
Same with Sora; you don’t see that many Sora fans on big Smash sites like this one, but that doesn’t mean he’s not popular. Layton and Phoenix seem popular, too.
No I do not....

who even knows anymoreWait..what are we debating about right now?
The Smash circle likes to hang around the thoughts and opinions they've formed. Doomslayer at this point is probably the most anticipated character for reasons established, but it doesn't mean it will be the Bethesda character or that we'll even get a Bethesda character.Actually, yeah, I saw something on Twitter like this:View attachment 234056
When you put it this way, he isn't really wrong.
I feel like the only thing DoomSlayer really has over Skyrim is age. It’s been around longer and invented a whole genre.Actually, yeah, I saw something on Twitter like this:View attachment 234056

And yes, I know this screenshot is from Gamefaqs, but I pulled it off of Twitter.
Thats honestly all I need, just to know people still want him as much as I do even with my super super auper low moralHonestly, I'm happy that his support thread has managed to stay pretty active for so long despite all that.
It's basically just this...Wait..what are we debating about right now?
please say sikeSo Angry Birds 2 right now is topping Detective Pikachu for highest rated video game movie on Rotten Tomatoes.
However, Detective Pikachu is doing better in audience score.
no please, dont tell dadKeep this up and I'm telling Sakurai
Geralt was actually created for a book series that was adapted into video games. So Geralt is ineligible.smash fans: "it's doomguy"
smash fans: "it's dovahkiin"
sakurai: "it's geralt"
smash fans: "what"
I wouldn't worry about it. People have used them and other popular picks for that matter since pretty much Ridley's reveal, I feel most people have just gotten used to the annoyance.I feel people are gonna use this damn bear as a scapegoat to tell other people their picks arent good now
Sometimes its the little things that keeps you going and I think that's good.Thats honestly all I need, just to know people still want him as much as I do even with my super super auper low moral
The Sims, Minecraft, Fortnite, Mortal Kombat, HaloResident Evil, as I’ve said numerous times before, is just massive. No other series not yet in Smash compares to its size. Not to argue sales, but simply that Resident Evil is culturally a big series and would be a worthy addition just for what I consider the last heavy hitter series for all of gaming.
I feel like those kind of characters probably don't have much of a shot, but it would be pretty neat to have Starkiller in smash.Okay. So i’ve Always been curious on how the rules apply to one specific set of characters. Character like Starkiller (Force Unleashed) and Chase McCain (Lego City Undercover). Characters that were created for video games, but those games a part of larger multi-media franchises. How do the rules apply to them?
How would a Sims Character even work? The Sims, Minecraft, Fortnite, Mortal Kombat, Halo
Check mate.
Well yeah. I’m not saying they’re likely. I just want to know if they’re completely ineligible.I feel like those kind of characters don't have much of a shot, but it would be pretty neat to have Starkiller in smash.
oh my ****ing god can you imagine a sims rep in smashThe Sims, Minecraft, Fortnite, Mortal Kombat, Halo
Check mate.
Starkiller is a no-go but I think Chase McCain might have a chanceOkay. So i’ve Always been curious on how the rules apply to one specific set of characters. If the final smash isn't building a pool then removing the ladder, I'm suing Sakurai
I suppose they would be possible, but they'd still have a lot of licensing issues.Okay. So i’ve Always been curious on how the rules apply to one specific set of characters. if you build up the flirt meter and use the first kiss special move, you can use woohoo on your opponentIf the final smash isn't building a pool then removing the ladder, I'm suing Sakurai
The Sim's neutral b would be accidentally setting simself on fire and instantly SDing. So the opposite of Hero.
SimCity is one of those franchises like Tetris, Minecraft, and Skyrim. I’ve always thought they deserved representation. But a stage is the best way to represent them. The Sim's neutral b would be accidentally setting simself on fire and instantly SDing. So the opposite of Hero.
Poor Zoe Trent's even getting ousted in the Hasbro departmentadd mr monopoly to smash brothers
