Really? All the big requests finally added to Ultimate and CHROM is the one that doesn’t feel real? Whatever. Whatever. Different people like different things. Some people actually like Fire Emblem. Just let it go.

You know. I know we can’t expect anything like that during the dlc period. But it’s a little sad we can’t even expect a single reveal around this time.

That and funny enough, the moveset actually fits Chrom better than it does Roy if you go only by the canon.

I always was kind of expecting Isabelle. Especially with how popular she is in Japan. I was only mad because she was the only Smash related thing in the direct at all and I (like an idiot) believed in the grinch leak. I thought they had so much more to show and “that was it”. It just felt anticlimactic.

Wollay posted images earlier this year and last month, and showed off the new title screen just yesterday.

I always was kind of expecting Isabelle. Especially with how popular she is in Japan. I was only mad because she was the only Smash related thing in the direct at all and I (like an idiot) believed in the grinch leak. I thought they had so much more to show and “that was it”. Inkling revealed that the game even existed. That’s cheating. If anything, it tells me that the marketing team thought they were the only character that couldn’t carry a trailer on their own.

Besides. The best reveal was Joker. It was just such a huge surprise and we didn’t even realize it was a smash reveal at first.

Then the Inklings popped up, and I instantly knew

Let's just say those months leading up to e3 dragged on for soooooo long

Possibly the best game reveal Nintendo has ever done, right up there with Twilight Princess at E3 2004

Possibly the best game reveal Nintendo has ever done, right up there with Twilight Princess at E3 2004

Looking back, that reveal actually makes me sad. They did something different and exciting and made a great game, people hated it because it looked like a cartoon. They copy Ocarina of Time, they get a standing ovation because it looks like an anime ****ed JRR Tolkien.

And these days, Wind Walker is harolded as one of the best in the series. It’s just sad that people were so shallow.

My predictions go in one of two ways. And character 4 will effect which one I pick.

We’re either getting a realistic Namco character (Tekken, Dark Souls, or Tales) and a cartooney Character from another company (like Crash, Quote, or Cooking Mama etc).

Or.

We’re getting a cartooney Namco character (Klonoa, Digimon, or Tales) and a realistic character from another company (DoomSlayer, Chell, Sol Badguy etc).

Yes. I feel Tales fits into either category because it’s an anime JRPGs.

I’m basing this off of the General feel i’ve Gotten from the community in the time i’ve Been here and from before as a part of the Smash communities in youtube and Twitter. Phoenix and Layton have always been there, but they’ve never been lost toppers.

The Layton series sold over 17 million copies within a span of 11 years and is currently Level-5's best selling franchise, even over Yokai Watch,
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th best selling third party DS games where all Layton games too.
The series got a movie, a manga series, novels, a concert and an anime series.
It was also praised by Miyamoto for bringing in a large female audience into gaming during the DS era alongside Animal Crossing.

What more does the series need to do in order to be considered "big"?
