Uhhhhhhh. That's not how that works. All the animation in the Banjo-Kazooie trailer and even the setting is completely redone from scratch. They didn't reuse the trailer. The trailer is completely unique aside from the setting. But you cant just rip the setting for a trailer like that out of one and into the other. It has to be all redone because one little change in the animation like say a new character can throw lighting, geometry, and all kinds of other stuff off just from being there.

Seems to be that people fail to understand that Banjo has gone hand in hand with Donkey Kong since Banjo's inception since they were both made by Rare, hence why the BK trailer was a throw back to the K. Rool one. The Rare family is finally back together and if you're a fan of Rare that's a BIG ****ING DEAL.
I'm not saying they literally reused the trailer and just edited K. Rool into it. But in animation it's just natural that you want to save resources, along with being able to use the previous storyboards as a basis. Obviously they wanted it to be Rare themed, but being able to save time in any way is a plus, especially when Joker's "trailer" footage is mostly reused from his initial VGA teaser.

Not to pull the old man card, but I've been playing Rareware games since before you were born, lol. I'm perfectly aware of the characters and their history.

Isn't that around when most people start? I got a SNES when I was 4. I started reading Nintendo Power when I was 5. It helped teach me how to read.

The last time I was able to play a videogame when I was 5 I was stuck on Delfino Airstip in Mario Sunshine for 7 years.

I never ran into FLUDD.

Wow.

Getting the "Hardest difficulty" classic mode achievement is leagues easier in Ultimate than prior games.

My first game is Super Mario World, which has a pretty linear design and is easy to follow. 3D games I imagine are pretty tough to wrap your head around if it's your first game ever. I still remember seeing my cousin get an N64 on Christmas 96 and being mindblown watching him play Super Mario 64. I spent the whole year before that playing SNES games and had never seen anything like it.

All I played were educational games until age 9 when I got New Super Mario Bros, Scribblenauts, Sonic Colors and Pokémon White.

Seriously.

Got 9.9 on my second try with K.Rool by just yeeting DDD and Ganon off their stages with the succ gun, each giving a 1.1, this is just ridiculously easier than "Slog through 4 ****ing, high health forms on 2 stocks only, and oh btw if you're playing the WiiU version, here's a 5th you didn't ask for."

So like, do some spirits just disappear forever?

Noticed my in-game inventory goes up to 1297, but the Wiki has over 1300, and also noticing people saying that some have 'never shown up again', like the Link's Awakening remake ones.

if let's go/labo spirits are any indication, they'll be permanently added after around 2-3 months

Ah.

So, waiting.

*Fun*
The only Spirits you absolutely can't obtain right now is Link's Awakening Link and Owl.

You should be very capable of getting anything else. Make sure you got all the ones that are exclusively obtained from combining/crafting spirits.

I'm still waiting for the Hero alt Spirits to show up in the shop. They keep suggesting Fighter Spirits I don't have yet but I'd rather clear their classic modes.

The year is 2007. Popular YouTuber Mariomario54321 uploads another epic Mario 64 bloopers. Scatman John blares from the background, and Mario moonjumps straight into the spike at the top of the castle as his innards are presumably destroyed for the 17th time. Never gets old, a classic joke.

Would it be considered offensive to make a character with multiple personalities that are usually for comedic effect?...
It depends on how it's done. I haven't heard any complaints about Twice from MHA
Do you know of any articles that talk about these controllers? I never saw them, so I went to see if I could find any info on them, but couldn't find anything.

What does EVO have to do with the Smash trailers?
The EVO twitter account tweeted about custom controller paints. One of the paint jobs shown was a porn themed one with all the faces

Hey guess whose back y'all!

As you may know given what happened on Sunday and feeling I began it all requested a temporary ban. I my requested ban was lifted since yesterday but decided to take another day to self-exile myself but I'm back now hoping I can promise to do better.

Also Cutie Gwen! Our beloved goddess! You're Back!

You sure it was a cost saving reason and not "Look guys it's Rare!"? I guess you'd be right if the next 2 have some similarities but part of me thinks it's just acknowledging the overlap
It also fit the sense of humor of Banjo-Kazooie/Rare so well that it feels like the idea of the joke came first, and then the rationalization of it being cheaper may have came later. It's the sort of "We're doing the exact same **** as last time, and you'll love it" type of joke I could see in the games.

Plus, while re-using assets are cheaper, it's probably not that much cheaper in the grand scheme of things--CGI alone is really expensive. And look at that unnecessarily photorealistic rock!

EDIT:
It's hard to think of what my first game was, but I think it was Super Mario Bros or Super Mario Bros 3. It was 1991-1995 where my dad had an NES and SNES, and he'd play the games while I was on his lap. Sometimes he handed me the second controller and make it seem like I was playing. No wonder I suck at games.

My first ever video game was via one of those plug n play things on the tv. I don’t know which came first, but I had two. One was for Atari and one was for Namco. On the Atari, me and my sister loved to play Adventure. But on the Namco, I devoted hours of my life to Dig Dug.

Then my first ever proper gaming system was the Nintendo Wii, and the first game I played on it was Wii Play.

I use my older brother's account to play Smash and we've obtained every spirit (so far)
they may just be png files, but 1336+ pieces of gaming history is quite a feat, even for Smash

My first videogame was either some NES game I barely remember, some GBA game, or Banjo-Kazooie.

I’ll just go with Banjo-Kazooie.

Clanker made my 4-year old self cry.

Just finished the Black Eagles route in Three Houses. Final boss was excellent, but the music is what really makes it imo. Please do not read the following box unless you have beaten the game in the Black Eagles route or want to be spoiled.
I really don't know that I can truly enjoy the other two routes now that I have played this one.

Not only do I absolutely agree with the path that Edelgard and Hubert set out for their country and continent (change wasn't going to happen without the war/conflict), but the only true villain, in my humble opinion, was The Immaculate One. Dimitri wasn't a villain, but a lost soul who'd experienced much loss in his life. When not having the guidance of someone out for one's best interest (such as Edelgard had in my playthrough with Byleth), but instead a negatively driven person in power, it's clear why it would have ended that way.

Claude never really found who he was within the Black Eagles storyline. While I picked Edelgard at the beginning, Claude was my second choice (sorry Dimitri). His demeanor is just so radically different from the other two that he really is his own man. The other two House Leaders have an intertwined fate, as it were. Considering the fact that I spared him in my playthrough (as there was nothing to be gained from killing him), I would absolutely be interested in a potential storyline of Claude post-defeat, and a story in which he finds himself, potentially in a new land.

While I have not played the other routes (I'm not sure when I will, but my stamina is not quite there just yet...plus I'm just loving the playthrough I just had), I have to say that this particular route just...feels like a canon Fire Emblem story. The true "evil" of Fodlan is the sphere of influence the Church of Seiros claims over the inhabitants. Geralt warns you (at least in the Black Eagles route) to not entirely trust Rhea, and Rhea is extremely vicious with her tactics in eliminating those who oppose the church. This is particularly evident when she tells Byleth that she "wants the students to know what becomes of non-believers", or at least people who attempt to rise up against the church. As long as that sort of power lingers, people wouldn't be able to live a life without fear.

Not to mention, a common story of JRPGs is typically to...rebel against the gods and take back decision-making power in human existence. Xenoblade comes to mind especially as a comparable story. Not that that means anything.

I feel deeply for Dimitri, and Dedue. I feel for Catherine. Though, the game sets it up so that you do feel bad. None of those killings felt good to me. Incidentally, I was at a crossroads during the final boss as to whether or not to kill Catherine, but based on how I structured my troops I was forced to. After defeating her, I took the Thunderbrand and equipped it on Felix. BRUH. HE'S A GOD. The only reason I took down Rhea within two turns of reaching her was because of that and...grinding. Byleth ended up level 46, with pretty much every other unit being over level 40 by the end of the level.

It also took me...two hours.

I'm not sure that Edelgard outranks Ike as my favorite lord, but she's close. This game is far better than Fates based on this route alone, and I imagine the other routes are excellent. The characters are well written, provoke emotional intrigue by the player, and well...the structure of the game is absolutely perfect. Whether they expand on the monastery and make it a town/city, or different locations throughout a game, or an army camp, they should absolutely continue it. I felt a much stronger attachment to the units in this game than probably any other Fire Emblem I've ever played.

**I don't know who has beaten it here, but the last thing I want to do is ruin it for anyone. If you haven't played through the Black Eagles route and finished it, don't read my huge wall in the spoiler.**
I just finished the same route the other day, actually. :p I'm doing Golden Deer now, and hoping to do a lot more recruitment than I did in the first run, haha.

Absolutely agreed with everything you said, lol. To me Edelgard's path is the definitive "good" ending of the bunch.

For what it's worth, from what I've heard, it's absolutely still worth playing the Golden Deer route at the very least. It ties up basically all of the loose ends that Edelgard doesn't cover (in particular there's a much larger focus on Those Who Slither in the Dark), and because Claude is more disconnected from the central church conflict, it allows his journey to seem more personal as a result.

It also expands upon a key detail of his character that is implied in his fight against Edelgard, but because it wasn't explicit I'll spoiler it.
Namely the fact that he's actually Almyran and not Fódlanese (Fódlish? Fódlanian?), and all of the complicated politics that go into that. It's nice seeing the Lewyn Archetype being the main lord.

But yeah I totally agree.

You know, does anyone else feel it’s weird Smash doesn’t have any Atari content? Not necessarily a character, I can’t even think of one that would work. But like, a stage or Assist trophies, or spirits. They’re the grandfather of video games. It’s weird they’re not here.

Also, Tetris stage. There should be a Tetris stage.
