Why not? I never understood that. Digimon is Namco’s most profitable series.

Technically, it's only #2. Pac-Man is their highest grossing franchise

Though I'll give Digimon props for outgrossing such other notable franchises such as Halo, Sonic, and Dragon Quest

that's what I was doing. I was fighting a zelda, and she was off stage. I saw magic burst, so i did that. The Zelda just teleported to ledge and hit me out of it. If it hit, I would've won, but that spammy zelda ended up winning instead.

Nevermind, I just checked the highest grossing media franchise list and searched the page for Namco.

Skipping over all of the anime properties they own the game rights to, the first was PAC-MAN, and Digimon was second.

I don’t necessarily think that means Agumon is particularly likely. Money isn’t everything when picking a character, and this pack seems very catered to fans and hardcore gamers.

If it were just “which of this company’s properties makes the most money?” we’d have Steve and Master Chief in over Banjo-Kazooie.

I feel like if Nintendo outright said “we need a new Namco-Bandai character,” they wouldn’t look at who historically made the most money, but rather who has high fan demand and who has a big game coming out or that just came out.

If there's a franchise that represents Capcom as a whole, you can't, Capcom has way too many iconic ips under its wings.

However, I'd say 4 specifically stand head and shoulders above the rest.

Megaman(though more for his legacy nowadays)

Monster Hunter
Resident Evil


3 are already in Smash.

It's one of the reasons why I don't think we'll be getting a Bandai Namco character. They worked on 4 and Ultimate, and between 4, 4's DLC, and Ultimate's base have only one character. And I think it's because, unlike Capcom and Square Enix, there aren't many characters that are highly demanded.

And it's a shame, because Pokemon vs Digimon is such a perfect idea that suits a game like Smash so well.

There was a rumor awhile back that the next CGI movie was to star Jill/Helena, and that Leon would be used for RE8.

Now if this information was true it's old information. I think that rumor was from late 2017. But the more recent rumor is that RE8 takes place on an isolated island to find the origins of Eveline, and that it draws heavy inspiration from RE3.5-- which starred Leon. And it's supposed to be an early release on next gen consoles, while RE3make is coming January 2020 on current gen.

So if rumors hold truth, RE3make will be at Gamescom because Capcom's already confirmed to be there, and RE8 could be at E3 2020 or TGS 2020.

I'm gonna guess whoever said Leon for 8 was building off the fact that they're using a lot of 3.5 concepts that they scrapped. Didn't the more recent rumor say that the protagonist was undecided, and it was between Ethan, Mia or Leon?

And yeah, we've been hearing rumors about RE3make for a while, Gamescom seems like it makes sense, building off of the recent success of RE2make and all.

I'm excited to see Nemesis.
