In a now deleted video, CN did more of an in depth look on the film and in the background was the villain's character sheet. Their name is Spinel. Which is a gem with similar colors to a pink and red diamond, however they usually are confused with Rubies and Sapphires.

Its also considered an extremely rare gem.

So could the villain's plan involve making more spinels? Or perhaps she has plans for Garnet? After all Garnet is a Ruby and Sapphire, as well as the voice behind the main theme alongside Steven, hmmmm....

I wonder why they’re trying so hard to keep the villain’s name a secret. Either way I’m excited to see the movie next month.

Nevermind, I just checked the highest grossing media franchise list and searched the page for Namco.

Skipping over all of the anime properties they own the game rights to, the first was PAC-MAN, and Digimon was second.

I don’t necessarily think that means Agumon is particularly likely. Money isn’t everything when picking a character, and this pack seems very catered to fans and hardcore gamers.

If it were just “which of this company’s properties makes the most money?” we’d have Steve and Master Chief in over Banjo-Kazooie.

I feel like if Nintendo outright said “we need a new Namco-Bandai character,” they wouldn’t look at who historically made the most money, but rather who has high fan demand and who has a big game coming out or that just came out.

You know what. No. This is actually wrong. It’s gonna be whoever they want from Namco. Hero and Banjo are proof of that.

Its already a missed opportunity that all Sega characters in smash aside from Sonic are newbie IPs that hardly have anything to do with OG Sega's long history of franchises since the arcade/master system days

like i guess we got Virtua Fighter AT and Bayo saying Akira's famous line and her kick move being called After Burner but thats all going to be overlooked by Nintendo fans regardless since they only associate Bayo with Nintendo now

Hm. I’ve played quite a few of those, and I can’t say I recall any defensive ones.

I’m talking like, Chrom defending a location for 10 turns in Awakening type mission. At least, that’s the one I remember off the top of my head.

There is one with Ashes & Catherine where you must defend Rhea for 10 turn or beat everyone before then.

Another one with Hilda & Cyril ask of you to save 4 allies & defend a point, if the enemy reach said point or kill all 4 allies, you lost.

You must have gotten the more standard one as of now what I'm saying.
