Xenoblade 3 probably isn’t happening on the Switch, given Monolith’s to-do list of over huge projects.
Mario Kart 8 came out in 2014, had its initial run of DLC (and some more content in the 2017 re-release) and there’s still no Mario Kart 9 in sight, with it potentially not even happening until the next Nintendo system in 2024.
(That 2024 date is based off them saying they expect a 7 year lifespan for the Switch)
Even if you say Mario Kart 8 was on the Wii U so wasn’t huge, the install base for MK8D on Switch is huge, yet we’re nearly 2 and a half years after release, with no sign of DLC.
That would be the perfect game to make a “live service,” with continuous content release over the Switch’s lifespan. Yet they didn’t do it, because that’s just not the way they roll. The devs just moved on to a new game, and Sakurai and his team will probably do the same.
Also, with the next system probably being 2024, and the Fighters Pass ending in 2020, I can definitely see the next Smash game happening 5 years after this game’s DLC ends.

Yeah, Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart 8 are in my mind going to be the only games in their series on the Switch. Nintendo isn't going to want to create competition for their multiplayer titles, not when they still sell very well and act as evergreens. I could definitely see a Super Switch launch with either Mario Kart 9 or Splatoon 3 though.

No way. This game has a decade in it at least. It won’t get support for the entirety of that time sure, but I kind of feel like it needs to just be let alone for a while

S-Tier has FMAB, Code Geass, and Death Note in it, so I'd say that your list checks out...for the most part. Cowboy Bebop is a mastahpiece.

I can't get over the first four episodes. Those four were really boring for me. Ep 5 is where I started being engaged. And the first four were a *big* slog when I first watched it.
And the plot pacing is good overall, but it didn't grab me immediately. A tier.
@Taylor F FMA Brotherhood is the best rated anime of all time on MAL. That's a popular opinion actually.
Edit: Apparently it got bumped down to 6th. W/E, still very beloved.

Didn't Nintendo say last year that they were planning on supporting the Switch for 7-10 years?
If their claim is truthful then we really might not get a new Smash game for almost a decade.

They also said the DS would not replace the GBA and the Switch would not replace the 3DS. Consoles have lifespans, it's the nature of the business. I doubt the Switch will last past 2025 as Nintendo's "core" system.

I mean hey if it means the next generation will come quicker then I'm all for it. The Switch can barely run modern triple A third party games without major downgrades, I shudder to imagine how it might look five years from now and how outdated the specs would be.

It’s easier to say “I can play this game forever!” when the game hasn’t even been out for year yet.
It’ll be the best smash game, but there’s not a chance we go halfway through the next system’s lifespan without a new Smash. It’s one of their big system sellers.

They have to drop the Switch 2 at some point in the PS5/Scarlett’s lifespan. If they hold off on the Switch 2 for so long that we start seeing the PS6 and Xbox after that, they’ll just be too behind in the hardware game that third party ports will be too difficult to develop.

Whether it's mainstream or not, it can be good. Quality isn't defined by popularity 100%. If a show is popular, it's *probably* good, or even great. But it doesn't depend on it completely. Popularity is rather a result of quality, at least to some degree.
