Hugo should be a panelist (assuming he doesn't mind).

C'mon Atlus, get a real Panel started!

Let's see . . . Mango, Lovage, Kira, Zhu and Atlus! Lovage is gonna move up to NorCal later this year so there we would be a man short! Zhu is coming back down from NorCal so that's good! I haven't been entering tournies much lately, but I've been keeping tabs on all the tournies since the last update! Hugs is online most of the time so that's good! Next update would probably be after ActiveGamers Coast2Coast!

Mango, Hugo, Zhu, Kira, Atlus....

Mango is all over the place travelling, I don't know if he can keep up with Socal anymore (and I don't think he even cares). It's unfortunate that the thread is under his account.

As for Kira... I don't know.

I also think P should be a panelist (assuming he doesn't mind). He's a great judge of skill.

Hugo, Atlus, Zhu, P (that looks pretty ****). We should have one representative from SD, then we would have a strong PR, I think.

Hey I'm a brawl player but I've recently found the light and am going back to melee. I played melee all 7 years before brawl came out, but I never knew about the ATs and just how fast the game moves. So the transition back shouldn't be too hard. But I wanted to know if there's anybody chill in SoCal (I live in Riverside) that could teach me a little or help me get started? I really like Sheik a lot and maybe Marth as a 2nd because I played him all 7 years and I should get used to his physics fairly quick.

Because everybody good or aspiring to be good posts in here. Plus I looked several pages back and saw a couple posts like this and people seemed ok with it.

Melee is just so much more fun. My argument is that in Brawl if you take an experienced player and put him against a noob, the noob can choose a gay character and spam a couple moves and possibly give the experienced player a fit. In melee, there is absolutely no chance of a noob doing anything to a skilled player. So in brawl you can get b*tched to death. In melee you can't. End of discussion.

BTW Kira, my friend just went to a melee tournament that you went to the other day. He went by Dazu I'm pretty sure. He said some pros gave him some tips for Falco and that they said he was pretty good. IDK if that was you but I know you attented.

Where do you live? I have a couple friends that play melee and we're gonna start a crew. I honestly think I'm gonna catch on to melee faster than brawl. I can't perform the ATs yet, but I can already see what situations they're useful in. The only hard part is making it second nature. But yeah where do you live?

lol @ not being able to perform the techs. you need to do that at the very minimum to be remotely competitive.

unless youre really smart (probably not, no offense. unless you come from competitive 2d fighters...)

you should probably stay home until you can do a lot of the tech stuff without trying as your first step

I remember Dazu, although I don't think I saw him play that day. I hosted that tournament so of course I attended.

There better be a new (and permanent) panelists for this coming update. It's a shame that the Socal Melee scene doesn't have a solid Panel representing them.
