Well, I don't really feel like speaking for myself, cause I would just come off sounding pompous, but I think Jesse has beaten most of the "notables" that Baka has beaten. As for those who he hasn't, Jesse just hasn't played them in tournament.

ok but baka has beaten more people and better people than both jesse and sunny

now dont get me wrong jesse is a good player, but i do not think he should be rank above baka

probably on a platform
well suck it

and go beat jesse to prove us wrong

and i'd like to see you beat lucky again

also i'm in the mood to be a ***** so.... yea, lol

and what pat said cause he's amazing

vvvv

see, pat so smart

no problem pat

responce to line 5- we so got this covered

responce to line 6- i was orginally just going to be like respoinding to your 4th statement, but then thought that might be too confusing, i wonder how long this'll auto update if no one posts in the thread

line 7- it had to happen eventually... though i only see a dot, not "last editted by AzN_Lep." why such funky caps in your name?

oh shiiiiii, edit your numbers son, but same thing happend for me kinda, all my log in things are the same name, all cause i was a dork at like 13 playing neopets

If he shouldn't be, then he won't be in the future. The sketchiness of the last 4 or 5 places is what motivates the PR.

And as much as people don't like to say "Person A beat Person B so A is clearly superior," head to heads are going to hold some weight. ESPECIALLY when it's deciding 18 & 19.

McCain I'm digging the instant edit updates, we should just have a conversation like this.

Thanks McCain.

Now all we need are time stamps, so we can look back on this tomorrow and not be confused.

response to line 9 - F'sho. I wonder if the other 13 folks in here are watching this too. Nice ninja edit from 4 to 5

line 10 - I dunno, seems pretty solid. Aww they added and "edited" tag on my post.

That **** was cool back when I was 11 and made the name, then it just kinda became second nature when I made new accounts till I was 15 or so.

@Baka, Didn't lucky go falco against you? And jesse 3 stocked you on DL64...with falco.

@WhiteOblv, I forgot you're e40, aren't you speaking with some bias as you're good friends with Baka?

I think we should even be happy to have been considered and placed on the list.

Thanks MacD, Pat.

@S2J, I don't know. I felt like it. Haha. edit: Oh, jesse beats me, he beat baka (quite convincingly) and he beat hyprid pretty convincingly too. He hasn't gotten the chance to play Atlus.

rest of socal that is relatively close usually comes out lol

but i'll never forget the time 90% of S.D. didn't show up to their own tourney, it was just Azn_Lep and 2 other S.D. people
its a new sd. re-energized and back on the pr. btw, anyone that wants to come out, were having a tournament this saturday.

Well just look at it this way Daniel. Do you think you're significantly better than Jesse? If the answer is no, don't worry about 1 place. Work to improve for the next update and see how things go.

lucky went fox first, lost, then went falco. also losing on dreamland is not a big deal if falco camps, like he should. i dont like dreamland against falco. also, if im not mistaken, jesse also lost to hyprid this period.

@Pat, thanks. I think don't think im significantly better, but better enough to warrant that place. Apparently he was having a good day when he beat me, and me not so much =p.

Watch out this period guys. I am so motivated right now.

(9:06:11 PM) Johnny: ok
(9:06:13 PM)
Johnny: so 1-8 is set
(9:06:15 PM)
Johnny: get ***** joey

And just look at those time stamps. Assuming the chat log was from today, they JUST finished 1-8 at around 9:10. Then Fly posted everything at 10 pm. That means they spent like roughly 50 mins on the rest of the PR.

Daniel, do you honestly think they cared that much for the last few places? The skill gap between people ranked 16-20 are so minimal, we may as well not be on the list.

Jesse did not camp you. Johns.

But anyway, that's the spirit! :D

thats a pretty keen observation but I actually spent a long time thinking that part up, when I posted it the panelists, with some changes made, pretty much agreed

for 11-17*

also, champs is also on this week same date as SD's tourney, might not be a good idea to make them weekly unless u guys don't mind playing amongst urselves

Oh sorry, I meant to say that you guys spent roughly 50 mins to solidify the rest of the list.

But I'll take your word for it, that you thought long and hard. ;D

Good job new PR folks. I said this last time, but like Sung I'm gonna try and step it up. I'm kind of glad I didn't get ranked this period as I really didn't win enough to deserve it and an honorable mention is better than nothing! :D

P.S. <3 Jesson for that comment

DUDE

BAKA

that wasnt me on a bad day lol that was me playing absolutely horrible*with fox at least* my arms felt like they were going to fall off every time l-canceled. i had a sick headache. about a hour and a half of sleep ate about 6 french fries all day. LOOOOL i was freakin dying. mad props to mccain for carrying me the way he did. even i could tell he wasgetting a lil mad at me for playing so bad.i had to adjust the way i played in teams soooo much for us to have had one that. i did absolutely nothing

but back to my point

anybody else i played that day that i beat was just reeeeeeeally unlucky to have played me that early on. the later the day got the worse i started to play. n besides about like 5 minutes before you beat me in tournament, didnt you lose to jun in a mm? seriously dude you dont know what a bad lucky is yet lol i hope to enlighten you sometime soon though.

just hope you dont get a good lucky :]

n my falco ***** too psh . . .he was tired as well

n LOOOL for me being 8th ....damit. guess ill have to win genesis 2 now :]

I wish I could travel more. I'm sure I would be better. In all honesty, I may not qualify for the next ranking period. My time is a bit strained and I have a few things to think about as I approach the end of college so I don't know how many tournaments I will be able to get to and I'm not really too concerned about it. The moment this game starts being mainly about where I'm going to be placed on a list rather than just having fun and enjoying the basic challenge of improving myself and helping others do the same is the moment I should stop playing.

I think it is unfair to say that we "stole some deserving spots" if we stop going to tournaments. The panelists had their reasons for placing us as they did. If I stop attending tournaments while other players continue to attend and place well in the process, then the "sick double standard" will be corrected and everyone can be happy. I don't see much controversy here.

Really, this should just be some good motivation for those unhappy. What does it say if a random from SD can travel for the first time, place fourth, and end up power ranked? ;)

TL;DR: hahahahahahahahaha.

I'm honestly surprised I was kept 2nd after not showing up for a while. Everyone has improved a lot this period imo, so I'll really have to keep up if I want to compete.

And you guys should stop arguing over the last couple spots. Just beat people and leave no doubt in anyone's mind where you belong. If you have to argue your way for a spot, you probably don't deserve it that bad.

I have my faith in SD though, I'll be heading over there a lot / giving them more exposure, so hopefully that'll help them break through!

i have to dude. i got ***** by johnny n oscar the week before hand but i took it like a man. i wont sit back n let someone who has never played me before think that that was anywhere near my prime or even a bad day . let alone use beating me on that day as a argument in saying he is better then someone because he beat me when i was playing THAT BAD

play me on a full stomach bro

-edit with more then 2 hours of sleep too

The weekly things are actually geared to be amongst ourselves. It's a rec class at UCSD so theres actually no payout. The main purposes of the course are to promote competition here, find new players, and fund more setups.

That's not to say that we won't be coming to other events. We'll probably all head up together for one of stab's tournaments or one of champs in the future.

It's cool, I don't think anyone's convinced that it was more Baka than you that the result was what it was.

I can't wait for you two to be seeded together =)))))))))))

Lol. Don't worry Lucky, not bagging on you. I know you're good. And if my fox can 2-0 baka in pools fairly easily...your fox on a full stomach day...can't wait aha.

But step it up. I don't like seeing you at number 8.

Baka you know you beating Lucky was not legit at all.

If that's legit.

then our MM must have been just as legit. Either it wasn't legit or I'm just better than Lucky obviously.

Lucky: i believe you wholeheartedly. i know my win against you was a fluke. i have so much respect for you as a player, and i know you would **** me when you're not dying. thing is, i think my fluke win counted as something, since you beat 24 before playing me, and then proceeded to beat alex19 right after. i was just trying to prove a point about me being more consistent than jesse.

but i think that's beside the point. i know that the panelists dont really care about 16-20, because we suck so much compared to everyone else. so i guess the rankings are doing its job, though, because this period I AM SO GONNA MAKE YOU HURT.

You can't play both cards man.

You just stated that you used a fluke to show your consistency...

This thread rocks my Southern Californian balls.

24 was crazy close to beating me. n seriously if he had played me as late in the day as i had you . he wouldve rocked me lool i remember at times trying my *** off to keep up with him. as for alex19 we were both playing bad lol but i wont john for him other then us playing each other all the time had a pretty big role in it.not to mention my falcon counters his falco :] so he never had a chance

that is not inconsistent. i don't think jesse could ever beat lucky on a (really really really) bad day. plus, i could argue jesses win against me was a fluke, and i would still be the better player. you just gave me a seemingly persuasive statement with no actual warrant.

again, @Lucky: please don't take this the wrong way. I want to be in good terms with you. You're one of my role models in smash, lol. What I said in my previous post I sincerely believe.

Why is everyone so worried about keeping up appearances?

Say what you mean, mean what you say.

*****s arent gonna sit here and be mad IRL, and if they are, did you REALLY wanna chill with them anyway?

Don't use baseless speculations to state your case.
However, I also don't think I could beat Lucky on a really really really bad day.
I'm not that good at this game.
