I'm not saying "nobody pivots"
I'm saying "nobody uses pivots to do a fsmash the way they were running"

so it's like you're running forward and you can use a pivot to fsmash in front of you
and this is cool because pivots cancel your initial dash

you don't have to wait that extra time to cancel your running animation by hitting down, then c-sticking forward
you can dash towards your opponent and pivot into a fsmash, and it's a lot faster



basically, using pivots as approaches

Arent pivots pretty hard to do tho? Isnt it only a few frames or so that you are in your standing animation so do ppl really rely on them as approaches?

and pivots are hard to do, but you can definitely master them with practice
